Samantha's POV

“Is that how you look at me?” I asked him, my voice trembling. He was silent, and I couldn't express how hurt I felt. I was stunned by the words that had just come out of his mouth. I didn’t expect him to think like that, especially after everything we’ve been through.

Adrian had just saved me from being hit by a car, and now Diego was acting like I had cheated on him. It was absurd.

“Isn’t it true? How do I explain what I saw?!” he shouted at me, his frustration clear in every word. I couldn't believe how irrational he was being.

I turned to walk away from him, needing space to clear my head, but he grabbed my wrist, stopping me from leaving. “I’m still talking to you, Samantha,” he said, his voice softer now.
