"Mmm, that's..." Shopia could not come up with an explanation. She bit her lower lip as a sign that she was thinking of an excuse. She was not ready to get such a question from Caroline because she had not prepared an acceptable answer.

"You betrayed me." Caroline said in a disappointed tone. She was about to get up and leave, but Shopia immediately held her back.

"Carol, I'm sorry. Please don't be angry with me or Donny. I did this because of Mr. Madison's request. All the money I used when shopping with you was not Donny's money, but Mr. Madison's money. He often comes here secretly just to see you. He really loves you." Shopia tried to be convincing.

"You don't know anything, Shopee. That Uncle Jared is the most hypocritical person I've ever known." Caroline still made an annoyed face.

"I really don't know anything, and I'm sorry for making you feel disappointed. We're still good friends, right?" Shopia put on a pitiable face. She did not want the situation to get worse if Caro
