CHAPTER 20Kendall missed her father terribly, walking in to his office she sat onto his chair. He always looked so powerful in his office like he owned the entire world. How many times had Kendall sat on his lap when she was younger. She would always play with his pens and mess up his table and he never yelled at her. CHAPTER 23ONE YEAR LATER Kendall was busy preparing for her meeting, she was sure that she would be seeing Blake, hopefully he would send Ryan in his place, she was nowhere near ready to see Blake. She cried months for him, she was so distraught by his lack of trust, always his face that last time she saw him would haunt her. He looked completely defeated, like a child who just lost their mother. Kendall's heart ached every time she remembered that look. Not one month after she returned home she sent him divorce papers granting him all of Michael’s shares, so Blake would be majority owner, Kendall decided to sell her share and start her own empire. Divorce papers were never signed by him and she waited every day for them to be delivered declaring her single again. Kendall felt very ill the months after that dreadful day with Blake, her nausea wouldn't relent, she wouldn't be able to keep much food down, Kendall put it down to stress. CHAPTER 24Blake wanted to leave, he didn't want to be around Kendall anymore, he wasn't paying any attention at all to anybody, his eyes kept scanning the room to see where she was. When Max his lawyer asked him to go into the conference room to finish off paperwork, Blake was certain that Kendall's lawyer asked her to do the same. He told Max he'd be there in five. Blake needed to prepare himself to be near her after all this time. Blake entered the conference after her took a few minutes to prepare himself and entered the room. Kendall and her lawyer were sitting on the end of the long table. Max was also there. "Ah we can begin?" Max the definition of a lawyer. CHAPTER 25Blake looked at the letter and shook his head, what the hell was that about? Augustus Hasting had planned the entire marriage, he and Michael Lucius plotted this whole scheme. Why did Blake feel like he had been duped? Not by Augustus or Michael but by his own father. Why couldn't Blake see what everybody else seemed to see or to know about Thomas Wyatt? Confusion set in, he seemed so affected by Ryan and suddenly nothing, maybe he thought about it and perhaps came to the conclusion that Ryan might not be his child. Again the rejection and the lack of his trust hit home, Kendall wanted to scream and hurt something. Why come back into her life just to leave her again?
