CHAPTER 5

Sydney was wiping down the table when she saw Jacob one night stand. Sydney smiled and took the girl's order and gave her the receipt. She went and sat down. Soon later, Jacob arrived and went in. He had on glasses. Sydney has smelt that scent before so she knew it was him. He smiled and leaned on the counter.

“Well, I never thought I’ll see you here, maybe today will be a good morning,” he said and she smiled.

“Welcome back, let me just give the customer her drink and then I’ll get back to you. She said and he nodded.

She went and made the customer drink. She finished the order and looked around the cafe and saw her.

“Samantha?” she called out. 

Samantha, Jacob’s one night stand, got up and went to the counter and took her order. She tasted it and threw it at Sydney. Sydney gasped and looked at her. Jacob looked and groaned and went to the girl.

“This is too sweet!” she said while yelling.

Everyone in the cafe looked and was shocked. They all felt sorry for Sydney and they all cursed at Samantha. Jacob grabbed her arm harshly and took off his glasses.

“You. Who do you think you are throwing coffee at her? Listen here, you are new here and you don't know much so I’ll give you an option whether to apologise or leave here,”  he said and she looked.

“And who are you to order me around after you kicked me out this morning,” she said and Sydney looked at them and looked down and wiped her face off.

“I’m sorry I made it sweet, I’ll just make it over again,” she said and went to make it back over.

Samantha took it and kissed Jacob cheek and walked out. Jacob groaned and looked at Sydney. Sydney smiled sadly and then looked around.

“I’m sorry for the commotion,” she said and went to the register.

“Listen, me and her-” he said but Sydney stopped him.

“It’s okay, you don’t need to explain. So what do you want today?” she said and he looked at her.

He told her his order and gave him the receipt. She went in the back to change her shirt. She came back out and made his order and gave him. She smiled and looked at him.

“I hope you have an amazing day,” she said and he nodded and went to work.

It was now night and Sydney was locking up with Nia beside her. Soon a shiny black Audi rs7 pulled up on the curd. Nia looked and groaned. Sydney looked and was confused. The ignition turned off and it was no other but Kevin. Sydney laughed and Nia groaned.

“Well, hello there ladies,” he said and Sydney waved.

“Why are you here?” Nia asked and he smiled and held her hands and kissed her hands.

“Well, Jacob asked me to pick you both up and let the four of us go out to eat and drink,” Kevin said.

“Who told you that I wanted to hang out with you and that Sydney wants to see Jacob?” she asked and Sydney laughed.

“Well, I want to see you mi’lady,” he said and she groaned. 

“Fine, we will play this little game you and Jacob have going on but the moment we find out that you both are playing us, I’ll hunt you guys down,” she said and Sydney smiled.

Kevin just gulped and opened the door for them. They both went in and sat down. He went to the driver’s side and he drove to the Restaurant and club. Sydney looked out of the window while Kevin and Nia argued. They finally reached the place and Kevin parked. Nia and Sydeny got out and inside. Jacob waved and Nia and Sydney went in and sat at the booth. Sydney sat beside Jacob and Nia sat beside Kevin.

“Hey, Sydney, how was your day?” Jacob asked and she nodded and said it was good.

They sat there and got to know each other more and made some jokes and made a group chat with them. The girls apparently got drunk. The boy saw and smiled. Sydney laid on Jacob's shoulder. Nia was flirting with Kevin and every attempt of it Kevin would bush and smirk. 

Sydney held onto Jacob's arm. Jacob looked at her and kissed her forehead and brushed her air away from her face. They both took up the girls and put them in the car. They both look at each other.

“What should we do with them?” Kevin asked and took out a cigarette and lit it.

“Well, we can take them to a hotel or back to our place, but they will think we did something to them. We aren’t ready to risk it all as yet,” Jacob said and he looked at him.

“Well, we have to be careful, we cant have them finding out that we actually want to use them,” Kevin said and sighed.

“We will take them to your house,” Jacob said and Kevin nodded.

They both went in the car and drove to Kevin house. They reached and they both took the girls out. They both carried them to the guest room. They placed them both on the bed and kissed their forehead and covered them and left the room.

The next morning came and Nia woke up and looked around and was confused but got up and saw that she still had her clothes on. She looked and sighed. She got up and went to look around but saw Kevin and went to him.

“I see that I’m still in my clothes,” she said and he smiled.

“Well, I can’t take advantage of you like that, I’m a gentleman,” he said and he looked at him.

“Well, did anything happen?” she asked and he looked at him and cage her.

“Well, you flirted with me and then you kissed me,” he said but the last part was a lie.

“Ew, why would I put my lips on your dirty mouth,” she said.

“Well, it was very passionate-” he said and kept talking.

She pulled him by the collar and kissed him and he widened his eyes. She pulled away and looked at him and groaned.

“Please shut up,” She said and looked at him.

“And we didn’t kiss because I would have remembered. You just wanted one,” she said.

Sydney woke up and looked around and saw Jacob looking at her. He smiled and caged her on the bed and looked at her.

“Well, hello,” he said and she was surprised and she pushed him off and hid.

He smiled and looked at her and went and hugged her.

“Don’t you remember what happened?”
