CHAPTER 152

***Bethany’s Pov***

I raised my brows as Jacob held me while walking towards the hospital’s exit door. Obviously, he was only concerned about our baby, and not me! I couldn’t put my finger on it but I was depressed and disappointed. If I hadn’t swooned in the garden, he wouldn’t have known about my pregnancy.

“I said I am okay, Jacob,” I snapped at him but he remained relentless. I rolled my eyes at him but instead of being furious, he just giggled. Did I say something funny to him? His vehicle was parked just a few steps away from the hospital’s exit door, and then he opened the door while waiting for me to get in.

“I am not a child, Jacob!” I snapped at his constant hovering because it was irritating! It just didn’t feel right to me. He wasn’t being true to himself and he acted like someone else!

“You could have just said yes to my question, Bethany. You don’t have to snap at me every time I will ask you about something,” he complained after closing the door.
