***Jacob’s Pov***

When Bethany told me that I looked hot, I accidentally stepped on the brake. It was the first time she had complimented my looks and I couldn’t explain why I felt good. Whistling, I started the car and drove away.

“Thank you,” I muttered.

“I wish you will just let me go home,” she said.

“It’s not going to happen, Bethany. You are going to live with me at my place,” I told her because I couldn’t let her live alone while being pregnant with my child.

“I don’t want to go back to your place, Jacob,” she said and I could understand her reasoning. She probably didn’t want to reminisce about the things that happened in my house. “I’d rather go home,” she continued to refuse to stay with me.

“Don’t be obstinate, Bethany. Consider the baby. What will happen if there’s an emergency and you are alone?”

“You are only concerned with the baby, but what about me? You are heartless as ever!”
