***Amber’s POV***

I wrinkled my nose as I smelled the sweet metallic pungency of fresh blood and screamed for help as loudly as I could. As if I was in a crime scene, fresh blood gushed from his mouth and nose. Oh well, if Dale died from blood loss, the basement would undoubtedly become a crime scene later.

"What's the matter, Amber?”

Three men in suits dashed towards me, their eyes widening in terror as they saw Dale's limped body. "What are we going to do now? We can't let him die in this place!” My voice trembled at the prospect of implicating the place in a possible crime!

"Let's take him to the closest hospital," he proposed.

“Us? I'm not going to!” I refused to follow the men's commands!

"Just pretend he's your husband and he had an accident," one of the guards suggested if hospital personnel inquired about the hostage's identity.
