Roshni"You are not leaving!" I heard Raj's voice, after a long time of silence from him. I stopped and smiled weakly. At least, Raj believed me. Mum looked at him in disbelief. "What do you mean she is not leaving?" She asked in rage."What!" Sam yelled."Raj." dad called.Raj stood there, his face filled with determination, as everyone's eyes bore into him. The room was filled with a tense silence, broken only by the sound of my heavy breathing. Anger radiated from the others, their frustration palpable."She is not leaving." he repeated, making my heart skip with joy. Raj's trust was all I needed. "- as her husband, I have the right to make the final decision. She's staying." he said with finality. "I have my reasons.""Are you out of your mind?" Dad asked, but Raj didn't say a word. he remained silent. "Don't allow her to continue walking over you." mum yelled. "I didn't raise you this way." "Roshni is very sly, Raj, she is cheating on you with Nick and-" I cut Sam off before
Roshni"I love you," I confessed, looking everywhere, but his direction. Immediately the sentence left my mouth, he stopped in his track and stood there for some seconds, before slowly walking back to me. I could feel his eyes boring into mine. "What did you say?" He asked, as if daring me to repeat what I said. Of course he was. "I love you, Raj." I repeated, now staring into his eyes. "- I can never harbor even the thought of cheating on you. Please believe me Raj, I really do love you." I finished and hugged him. He stilled, but didn't push me away. I was glad for some seconds, before he unwrapped my hands from around his waist."Let's leave," he said and walked out of the room with his luggage. I sat down on the bed with unshed tears glistening in my eyes. He didn't believe me. He thought I was lying.I felt another lump forming in my throat as I tried to hold back the flood of emotions threatening to overwhelm me. How could he not trust me? How could he think I would lie about
RoshniI woke up with a sight headache, which I ignored, because I knew it would go away sooner or later. I went into the bathroom and showered. I was determined to know why Nick did what he did, so I decided to meet up with him and make him confess we didn't do anything, then Raj would be able to finally know the truth and hopefully he would learn to trust me again. I emerged from the bathroom and Raj was still sleeping. He looked very uncomfortable lying on the couch, I could tell, because he had a frown plastered on his face. I woke him up by gently tapping on his shoulder and he opened his eyes, but slightly. "Good morning," I smiled. He grumbled an incoherent word and went back to sleep. Funny. I chuckled at his behavior and tapped him on the shoulder once more, in an attempt to wake him up. "Go away," he mumbled, his eyes still closed. He is such a big baby "You look extremely uncomfortable here on this couch, you should lie down on the bed," I suggested, but he ignored me.
Roshni"You're not leaving! I won't allow you to leave me," Nick said, venomously. "Please save me Raj.""Just allow me leave please," I begged, desperately. "Why? So you go back to Rajveer?" He asked, angrily and again, a wave of pain surged through my stomach, making me cry out in pain. Nick noticed I was in pain and came closer to me."Are you alright?" He asked, his voice laced with worry."No I'm not," I admitted. He held me by the shoulder, but I quickly shrugged his hand off."Should I call my doctor?" He asked."I don't need a doctor, I need you to open the damn door and allow me to leave. Do you think by ruining my image in front of my in laws and husband will make me love you? You are mistaken. I will never love you, Nick. I regret ever knowing you. After what you did to me, I realized you aren't my friend, but an enemy. I hate you," I yelled, pouring out all of my frustrations out. He didn't say a word, but stood there staring at me in daze. I took the opportunity and sn
RoshniAs the morning sunlight gently filtered through the curtains, I slowly opened my eyes, only to be greeted by a dull ache pulsating through my temples. A slight frown creased my forehead as I pondered the recurring presence of these unwelcome headaches in my life. With a determined resolve, I made up my mind to seek answers, to unravel the enigma behind these persistent discomforts for it was getting unbearable.Although the thought of visiting the doctor irritated me, I knew I had to. I had been neglecting my health for the longest time. For the meantime, I ignored the slight pain I was feeling, as thoughts of the previous night, invaded my mind. He actually cares about me. I became more determined to prove to him, I didn't do anything wrong. I looked at Raj, he was still sleeping and looked very uncomfortable on the couch. I wanted to wake him up, Like I did the other time and tell him to go to the bed, but I knew very well, he would refuse bluntly, so I stopped myself and my
Roshni"Where were you?" Raj asked, calmly."I met up with Vid and-" I didn't get to finish what I was saying as I was cut off by Raj. "The last time I checked, she was out of the country." he reminded. 'Great! Now he thinks I'm lying.' "She's back," I replied. "You were with her the whole day?" He questioned. Was that wrong? - I wondered. "Yeah. We were at a restaurant, then a clinic." I blurted out mistakenly. I never wanted him to know about our visit to the clinic. He moved closer to me and asked; "Why? Who was sick?" He questioned. There was no point in lying anymore. He already knew we were at the hospital, so I might as well just spill everything. "I was," I answered and his face scrunched up in confusion."You? What happened to you? Was it because of the headache or perhaps because of the-" "I passed out." I confessed, cutting him off from rambling. "You passed out?" He asked for confirmation. I rolled my eyes. "Yes," I answered. "What happened? I mean why did it hap
Rajveer "It's okay, Raj, you don't have to say anything. I understand " she said, cutting me off from telling her how I felt about her. 'What does she understand? Maybe she already knows about my feelings for her, but why is she reacting like this? I think it'd be best if I just allow her be for now. She's exhausted.'My cell phone suddenly started vibrating in my pant pocket. I brought it out and checked the caller ID. I was angry when I saw Sam's name. Why the hell was she calling me? I rejected the call and returned my cell phone back into my pocket, but she didn't give up, she continued calling. I brought out the phone again and received. "What do you want?" I asked, immediately I received the call. "Raj, mum- I..it...it's mum," she cried. Mum? What happened to her? I wanted to know, but was terrified of even asking. I hoped and prayed she was alright. I couldn't bear the thought of thinking something happened to her, because if it did, I knew I was to be blamed. I went away
RoshniI hope mom gets discharged soon. She might have insulted me in the past, but I don't hold any grudge against her, because she only believed what she saw. - it was the last thought on my mind before I drifted off to sleep. ~~~~~I woke up very early to get my reports from the hospital. I was nervous of what the results would be. "I'm so nervous, Vid," I voiced out my worry to Vid, when she came to the hotel and we were getting to go collect my reports. "Don't be, Roshni, everything will be alright." she reassured. "I hope so," I muttered."And I hope you're pregnant," Vid said, making me glare at her. "Vid!" I exclaimed angrily. "What? I'm serious," she laughed."You're unbelievable. Do you even realize what you're hoping for?" I asked with furrowed brows. "I'm sorry. I was just kidding," Vid said, when she sensed my mood."It's not as if I don't want to be pregnant Vid, the situation right now is just too complicated," I explained and she gave a small smile. We arrived
