Chapter Thirty

Roshni

"You are not leaving!" I heard Raj's voice, after a long time of silence from him. I stopped and smiled weakly. At least, Raj believed me.

Mum looked at him in disbelief. "What do you mean she is not leaving?" She asked in rage.

"What!" Sam yelled.

"Raj." dad called.

Raj stood there, his face filled with determination, as everyone's eyes bore into him. The room was filled with a tense silence, broken only by the sound of my heavy breathing. Anger radiated from the others, their frustration palpable.

"She is not leaving." he repeated, making my heart skip with joy. Raj's trust was all I needed. "- as her husband, I have the right to make the final decision. She's staying." he said with finality. "I have my reasons."

"Are you out of your mind?" Dad asked, but Raj didn't say a word. he remained silent.

"Don't allow her to continue walking over you." mum yelled. "I didn't raise you this way."

"Roshni is very sly, Raj, she is cheating on you with Nick and-"

I cut Sam off before
