Why do I find it so hard to believe Jack? He said he knew Harry as a colleague at his workplace, but their expressions contradicted that statement. A colleague with such sentiments seemed far out of reach.

Have I made a mistake accepting Jack? No, it can't be a mistake. Or maybe there was some mix-up, and I was just being overreactive and calculating. Pregnancy must surely have a way of clouding one's reasoning, I assured myself and headed to the bathroom to have a shower—it had been a long day.

Ever since I accepted Jack barely a month ago, I stopped working at the bar, and he assured me he would take care of my bills, explaining that he wouldn't want his lady to work and that he had more than enough to care for me. I cherished his sincere concerns and love for me, and I was about to tell him about my pregnancy before Harry showed up at the suite.
