Everyone assumed he divorced Dexie because he wanted to get back with Narda.

"You all are excellent at making up stories. You should write a book," Luke Huxley said, putting on a serious face and feeling hot under his collar.

"If everyone thinks like that, does Dexie think the same way too?" he suddenly wondered, concerned.

"We're not making it up. You're the one who acts like it." Simon glared at him and added, "If that's not the case, why would you make Dexie apologize to Narda when you clearly knew it was Narda's fault? What were you thinking?"

Luke Huxley said nothing. But Simon didn't let it go and continued, "If you were Dexie, how would you feel? You defended another woman and made her apologize indiscriminately. She must hate your guts."

Luke Huxley remained silent, but he raised his jaw.
