Chapter 31

Simon didn't think Luke Huxley would do that. Narda could no longer find an excuse for herself, so she had to act with firmness. She took out her phone.

"I haven't really learned the rules, and I have even angered your wife. I'm going to call the insurance company now." She dialed the insurance company's number.

That's when the men Dexie had called arrived.

They determined that Narda was entirely responsible for the accident and waited for her men to complete the procedures. Simon was eager to return to dinner with his wife, so he gave them the key to Dexie's car and suggested leaving.

"Let's go then."

Luke Huxley had no intention of staying either, which disheartened Narda. However, she didn't give up even when she saw him leaving. She called out to him, and when he turned around, he appeared calm and emotionless, treating her as if she were a stranger.

Realizing that she had lost the pride she once had, she couldn't help but clench her fists.
