Luke Huxley was taken aback by Dexie's strong reaction, though he understood her feelings. Her response still left him feeling unsettled.

"Luke Huxley, are you kidding me?"Dexie exclaimed, her expression haughty as she clenched her fists.

Luke Huxley was surprised by the coldness he felt emanating from her. He had been trying to suppress his fear of this moment, but it was resurfacing.

Despite his unease, he maintained a hint of arrogance in his tone.

"I'm not kidding. It's just suddenly too troublesome for me to go through with the divorce. I'm fine with things as they are," he said, feeling a twinge of guilt for no apparent reason and avoiding her piercing gaze.

Dexie sneered, "Really? Well, I'm not okay with that. Luke Huxley, why should I cooperate with you when you want a divorce? And now that you've changed your mind, am I supposed to just follow your whims?"

terrible grammar.just confusing the storyyou donot know who is talking at a given time because of the wtong use of nouns and verbs.
