“He hung up on me," Mrs. Tidson choked, then said reassuringly, "It's a weekday, and he's very busy. He could be in a meeting right now."

She looked at her daughter and continued to console her, "Well, let's ask the driver to pick us up first. After work, you can meet him. This time, you can't be as capricious as you were three years ago. Apologize to him."
