Chapter Sixty Six

Aurora PoV

It’s funny how life can send you crashing one down to the deepest pit just when one’s soaring high in the clouds a few seconds ago.

A few seconds ago, I was absolutely ecstatic. Klaus was Alpha, which made me the Luna. And while Klaus was already performing his Alpha duties, I was keen on starting my Luna duties. The plan was to go round the pack encouraging the pack and trying to get them to look to a better future.

But what type of Luna would I be if I abandoned my husband to tend to the pack. So I’d woken up early to prepare Alpha’s favorite meal. I wanted to serve his food on the dining table so he’d come out to eat, but I knew Klaus might stay locked in that study all day without eating.

And I decided to take his food to the study. The door was locked but there was a spare key. I expected to find my husband hunched over the table, neck buried in papers and files. But what did I find instead?

Klaus was hunched against a girl, and his lips was locked against hers.
