Aurora PoV Irritated and annoyed didn’t even begin to cover how I felt. I was conflicted and in a dilemma. It was hard to ignore the fact that Lisa and Klaus had kissed, which meant I hated her and had every right to. Then again, Lisa’s the prophetic child. I was not entirely certain what the prophecy was all about, but I knew she had a huge role to play in ending the war. I felt obligated to help her achieve her destiny, but I couldn’t look past the fact that she’d kissed my husband. Or the fact that those two had spent a night together. Or the fact that Klaus had risked his life for her. I knew Klaus and Lisa were close, but I’d always imagined the relationship was more like a brother sister relationship. Nothing prepared me for catching them intimate. In fact, never in my wildest imagination did I ever think Klaus and Lisa looked had each other that way. If I didn’t see it with my eyes, I definitely would not have believed. But I saw it. I saw the attraction between both the
Uther PoVI should have heard from Spock by now. It was unusual that my servant would stand me up. Spock had very few flaws whenever he served me, and tardiness was definitely not part of it. “Where is this man?” I asked as I continued to pace the gardens at the back of the mansion. Usually, I wouldn’t care very much where and how Spock chooses to spend his time. I trusted him enough to believe that whatever he’s doing it for the good of the kingdom. And this situation was not different. I believed that whatever made Spock come late must have been necessary and relevant for the good of the kingdom, but what I was really anxious for was the news he carried. I trusted Spock, but Marco was a totally different story himself. Even with the Spock’s subtle supervision, I didn’t trust Marco to follow my orders. The bull-headed boy might do the exact opposite of what he ordered and throw the entire kingdom in another array of jeopardy. Marco was never one to look beyond his personal pride
Marco PoV“I see you’ve come back from reporting to father,” I sneered when Spock entered my tent.We camped a few miles away from the borders of Yellowstone, or Lupo pack as my deranged half-brother.“Did you tell father what his bastard son said?” I chuckled, savoring the taste of the grape wine I was slowly drinking from my cup, “did you tell him that the son he loves so much would rather die than bow to him?”“Your highness,” Spock bowed his gently, ignoring my jibe, “I apologize for my absence, I didn’t know I would be missed. I would have reported my whereabouts.”“Don’t play coy with me, Spock,” I slammed the wine cup on the stool next to me, “I am not my father.”“Indeed, you’re not,” he replied in that same low, placatory voice. I stared at Spock hunched in front of me. I could not determine if he was mocking or complimenting me. The old man has spent a very long time in court he knows how to conceal his emotions. Even his heart beat in the same regular beat. Never changing.
Melina PoVI still couldn’t wrap my head around what I’d just seen. When I thought I finally understood it, merely becomes stranger. “Was that science or magic?” I asked myself for the umpteenth time as I took a swig of the drink the barman served me earlier.I winced gently as the drink burned down my throat on its way to my stomach. It was my third, and it was really helping me fight the cold. The cold was bearable in the day, but when the sun went down, it began to freeze. And the drink was probably the only thing that was keeping me from freezing. That, and the thick jacket on my back. “Okay, Mel,” I murmured to myself, “backtrack.”It was a trick Ramona taught me whenever I was stuck or confused. She would tell me to think back to the beginning, and retrace my step. Retracing my every move from the beginning would help me look back into my memory to see what I missed.Witches memory are clearer and sharper than the average human thanks to some potions witches and wizards give
Melinda's povI slowly stood up from where I sat turning around when I felt an arm on my shoulders. I turned to see it was the alcoholic smirking at me holding a bottle of beer with a smirk on his face."Don't leave so soon darling, you still haven't told me who you are." From the corner of my eyes, I could see others gaze more intently at me as though they were sure I wasn't one of them, right now I didn't intend to cause any trouble as I needed to find her as soon as possible, and take her to Ramona as soon as possible."A gentleman shouldn't grab a lady's arm this way." I pout at him but deep within me I wanted to smack him so hard but that was a bad decision."Why don't you tell us who you are, I can tell you're not from here." He squeezed my shoulders while eyeing my body hungrily."Why would you want to know? I only came here for a drink.""Seems more to that you know." His hand began to travel downward until it was on my boobs, I immediately smacked his arms from me, taking a s
Marco glanced at his men who supported Maximo on their shoulders as they made their way to the pack territory slowly. Maximo was in bad shape and wasn't at all getting better and was weak, never for once had he thought he would be tricked this way. Every step they took felt like a thousand arrows had been shut to his rips creating an excruciating pain, he gnashed his teeth wincing in pain as his insides felt like they were about to fall out and he had no idea why he was able to heal himself."We're almost there," Marco assured him with a smirk on his face as they approached the borders of their territory where several warriors stood guard, Two of them approached both Marco and his men carrying Maximo who seemed to be losing consciousness."Take him to the dungeon and lock him up immediately," Marco ordered them while walking inside nodding to the guards as he made his way inside the pack, The first place he went to was the Alpha's home to report what had happened. He was unsure what h
Lisa's povI continued to run as fast as I could because the lady had gotten up and was in my trail once again and I could tell she wasn't giving out soon. I tried so hard to lose her in the dark dense forest but all efforts seemed useless and the only possible way I could think of was to fight or continue to run I decided to give the first option a try hoping to kick her out and escape before she got herself.I stopped running, turned to see her, and let out my huge claws. Her hand was now that of a wolf but my other parts remained human."Stop being a stalker and let me be," I growled in anger gnashing my teeth at her but she wasn't overwhelmed by that and continued to walk closer to me. "Are you underestimating me?""I'm not here to hurt you." She explained but that was hard for me to believe when she had just attacked me earlier."Your choice of words is quite applauding." I scorned her rolling my eyes as I concentrated on her every move. "Let me be and I will spare your life."Sh
Lisa's pov"You need to prepare as this is not a walk in the park," Melinda assured me I could tell it was going to be an intense one but I felt I was ready, I finally had a purpose and would stop hiding who I am. I'm glad that I know I'm not alone. I noticed the sun had begun to rise."So how do I prepare?" I ask curiously packing my dangling hair into a tight bun as I finally got my strength, I stood up walking behind her as we both made our way out of the cave."We start now." She looked around the forest and rays of sunlight penetrated it, letting it show on us. "This is a good spot." I looked around the forest at the green grass and my bare swollen feet that would get healed soon, the fresh air illuminating my spirit and calming my nerves."I want you to light up a fire." Melina made an example, lighting a stick and showing it to me but I knew quite well there was no way I could do it, I gulped, staring at the blue fire in her hand in surprise."There's… no way I can do that." I
