Eric’s POV

I took Pollen to the front seat of my car, parked in front of the hotel building and returned to the driver’s seat.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

I tilted her face to look at me, tucking away the light curly locks of hair that were intentionally dropped on both sides of her face while the rest was packed in a beautiful curly bun.

“I’m— I’m fine” She managed to say while staring back at me.

Her eyes looked calm and sparkly like she was going to cry at any moment.

“Are you sure you don’t want us to see a Doctor?” I persisted.

“I’m really okay. Just worried about my friend” She said with genuine concern.

“You don’t have to worry about that. I already asked someone to bail her. She will be home with you tonight” I assured her.

“Thank you so much” She gave a weak smile.

“For what?”

“For helping me in that situation. I don’t even want to imagine what would have happened” Her voice held so much fear and worry that all I wanted to do was hold her and console her.
