“Is that how to treat a client? Why are you laughing in front of a client? Is that what you came here to do? What does she want”

“I’m sorry ma’am, the lady came and requested to see Mr. Lucas, she claims to be his wife” I turned to see who she was talking to, she jerked at once and her eyes wide open.

“Good afternoon, Mrs. Dowell, I am sorry to keep you waiting, Ma’am. Please come this way” I turned to the receptionist, and she was already crying and packing her stuff.

“I’m sorry about her attitude ma’am, I will handle her ma’am with your permission” I didn’t know what to say to her. I kept mute, the anger and embarrassment the receptionist gave me had slowly been replaced by shyness. Everyone was still in awe at the reception hall. Some started to murmur and pointed at me. I overheard one of the staff say.

“I remember her now, I saw her picture on the day of their marriage.”

I didn't say a word again, I turned and followed the lady. On our way, she introduced herself as Diana
