CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE (Sickness)

Being with her is one thing I can’t discipline myself to stop. All through my stay in the UK, her voice has been the only voice I really wanted to hear, her scent had lingered in my nose, and I smell her all day.

I would have not traveled so suddenly if not for the fact that I couldn’t help. I had these strange feelings after I had picked Helen up at her mum’s place. One feeling that I have never felt before. I felt my legs heavy and my joints cracked like the tendons were replaced with a knot. Then, the intense fever and dry throat set in. I managed to go out in search of her when I couldn’t get in touch with her. I didn’t know that it was a mistake, I would have listened to my body and called the doctor that night, but I decided to take the risk by calling him the next morning.
