33. The Plan

In the morning, Nathan and I met with Baron in the forest to plan our next move.

"I think it will be best if we could trap the Alpha King somehow. Maybe when he goes on his hunt next," Nathan said. "And after we chain him up, we can figure out how to kill him."

Baron leaned forward, his eyes narrowing as he considered Nathan's suggestion. "It's a risky move," he said. "But it may be our only chance at taking him down."

I nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of determination swelling within me. "Let's do it. What's the plan?"

Baron laid out the details, his rough voice gruff with authority. We would set up a trap near the den where the Alpha King usually began his hunt. When the King emerged, we would spring the trap, catch him off-guard, and chain him up before he had a chance to retaliate.

Nathan and I listened intently, nodding along as Baron spoke. It was a dangerous plan, but we were willing to take the risk.
