Destiny

The cold iron shackles clinked as they were fastened around Alpha Aldric's wrists and legs. Nathan didn't want to risk it and made sure to tighten them before letting the guards lead him to the dungeon.

I watched, my heart aching with each metallic sound, as the guards led away the man I had grown to care for. The cold dungeon waited for him.

"My Alpha," I whispered, my voice choked with emotion. But this was better than death. I didn't know what I would've done if Nathan didn't listened to me and killed him right in front of me.

Aldric turned his head toward me, and for a moment, our eyes met. His gaze held a strange mix of anger and vulnerability that made my chest feel tighter. He opened his mouth to speak, but the guard yanked the chain connecting the shackles, causing Aldric to stumble forward and cut off any words he might have uttered.

"Move!" the guard barked at Aldric as they continued their march towards the dungeon.
