Mia’s Pov

My breath hitched, horror flooding every part of me. My hands instinctively went to my stomach as I recoiled in disbelief. Pregnant. The world spun around me, and a thousand emotions crashed into me all at once. Fear. Rage. Desperation.

“No…” I breathed, shaking my head. “You wouldn’t… You couldn’t…” I couldn't form proper words. “I'm not pregnant!”

“Oh, I could,” Kalazar’s voice was cruel, triumphant. “And yes you are. There is very much a new life within you. Which has kept you alive and strong even after the drugs we were inducing into your body. Because of that, we had to change our strategy and stop the dose. So remember, I will do worse l if you don’t stop fighting me.”

Tears welled in my eyes, a sob threatening to escape as the weight of his words crushed me. I was trapped. Completely and utterly trapped. My body trembled, but I couldn’t let him see the fear tearing me apart from the inside. I have to stay strong. For the baby. For Christian.

But inside, the panic was

Before any of us could react, he slammed his hands down, casting a dark, twisted spell. The ground beneath us trembled violently, then split open with a deafening crack, as if the earth itself had been torn in two. The force was so intense that I felt myself being lifted off my feet, thrown violently through the air. MIA’S POVKalazar’s eyes gleamed with malevolent intent as he straightened himself from the blast I had hit him with. The fury that radiated from him was like a living force threatening to choke the air. His lip curled as his gaze flicked toward Balthazar, standing on the edge of the battle, his expression grim but focused.“Balthazar,” Kalazar barked, his voice echoing like thunder through the chamber, “unleash the army. I want her in my hold. By any means necessary.” He said, pointing at me.Balthazar’s eyes glinted with dark magic as he nodded. With a wave of his hand, he began chanting in a language that sent shivers down my spine. The air around him shimmered with dark energy, and a swirling portal opened up behind him, its edges crackling with an otherworldly light. The ground beneath it trembled as something dark and monstrous clawed its way through. My breath caught in my throat as the first of the creatures emerged. Mia's PovKalazar pushed himself to his feet, panting, fury twisting his features into something monstrous. His eyes burned with hatred as he glared at me, his chest heaving with the effort it took to remain standing. I could feel the raw malice radiating off him, a dark energy that sent shivers down my spine.“You’ll regret this,” he hissed, his voice low and menacing. “You have no idea what you’ve just done, Mia. No idea what’s coming for you.”I swayed slightly where I stood, the exhaustion from the spell making my legs feel like jelly. The energy I had summoned had drained me, leaving me weak, but I wasn’t about to let him see that. I straightened, forcing myself to stand tall, even though every muscle in my body screamed for rest. A smirk tugged at the corners of my lips as I looked at Kalazar, meeting his burning gaze head-on. “Still not good enough?” I taunted, my voice hoarse but defiant. His eyes darkened further, rage boiling just beneath the surface. He glanced over his s

Mia’s PovThe battlefield around us was in chaos—Christian’s desperate shouts were muffled by the swirling magic that separated us, the sounds of the werewolf army fighting against Balthazar’s creatures fading into the background. All I could focus on was Kalazar, his face twisted in rage and disbelief as he fought to overpower me.But I wasn’t the same person anymore. Something inside me had snapped. My wolf’s power coursed through my veins, feeding into the well of magic that I had never fully unlocked before. I was stronger. Fiercer. Kalazar launched another attack, a deadly bolt of dark energy aimed directly at me. I raised my hands instinctively, summoning a shield that deflected his magic, sending it hurtling back toward him. He growled in frustration, his eyes narrowing as he realized I wasn’t going down easily.Kalazar snarled and fired another blast of magic, but this time, I didn’t dodge. Instead, I absorbed the energy, letting it fuel the growing inferno inside me. His eyes

Mia’s PovThe sky was a heavy gray, the clouds hanging low as if mourning with us. A cold wind swept through the trees, carrying with it the scent of pine and wet earth. It felt like the world itself had paused in sorrow, the weight of grief pressing down on everything, on everyone.I stood at the edge of the clearing, staring at the pyre where Sylvia’s body lay. Dressed in her finest robes, she looked peaceful, her hands folded over her chest, as if she were simply resting. But I knew better. There was no rest in death, not for someone like her. She had given everything for us, for me. And now, she was gone.My throat felt tight, and my eyes stung with unshed tears. I hadn’t cried since the night we lost her. It felt like if I started, I might never stop. Christian stood beside me, silent and strong, his hand gripping mine, grounding me as the crowd gathered around us. The pack was here, every warrior, every healer, everyone whose lives Sylvia had touched. They all stood in somber si

  • Enchanting Royalty   Chapter 85

Mia’s PovThe meeting room was heavy with the weight of silence as we gathered around the table—Christian, Alpha Dominic, Gamma Arnold, and I. The losses from the war were staggering, the cost far more than any of us could have imagined. Each face held the burden of those who had been lost, the sacrifices that had been made. Alpha Dominic leaned forward, his fingers drumming quietly on the wood surface.“The loss of our warriors...” he began, his voice tight. “It’s something we’ll feel for years to come. Our pack’s numbers have dwindled, but their loyalty, their bravery, cannot be forgotten.”Gamma Arnold nodded solemnly, his eyes cast downward. “The cost was high, and we must honor those who gave everything to protect us.”I stayed quiet, my eyes casted down in sorrow. So much had changed, and though we had won, the victory felt hollow, shadowed by Sylvia’s absence. Every corner of the room seemed to echo her voice, her presence, and it was hard to focus on anything else.Christian’s

Mia’s PovThe soft glow of the morning sun seeped through the curtains as I slowly blinked my eyes open, feeling the weight of exhaustion from the past few days still clinging to my bones. My body felt groggy, as if I had been in a deep, dreamless sleep for hours—perhaps days. I stretched out lazily, letting my arms extend above my head, muscles stiff from the stillness. But as I shifted, my eyes fell on Christian’s side of the bed. Empty. I scowled a little, wondering where he had gone so early in the morning.Just as I was about to push myself up, the door creaked open, and there he was, Christian, with that familiar, heart-melting smile. He stepped inside carrying a tray of food, the scent of freshly baked bread and coffee wafting through the room. My stomach growled almost instantly, betraying my hunger.“Good morning,” Christian greeted me warmly, setting the tray on the bedside table before sitting down next to me on the edge of the bed. His voice was soft, but his presence was

Mia’s PovJulia and Anastasia were like a whirlwind as they pulled me from one store to another, their energy boundless while I trailed behind, already feeling the exhaustion setting in. I wasn’t entirely sure how they convinced me to go on this shopping spree, but here I was, lugging bags of shoes, handbags, accessories—and just about everything except the gown we came here for.“Do we really need another pair of heels?” I groaned as Julia held up a sleek black stiletto with an excited gleam in her eyes. “I mean, I have more than enough pairs already.”Anastasia, who was busy inspecting a glittering necklace, glanced over and smirked. “You can never have too many heels, Mia. You’re the Beta now; you’ve got to look the part.”I rolled my eyes. “I thought the ceremony was about the gown, not how many pairs of shoes I can carry home.”Julia laughed, tossing the heels into the growing pile of purchases. “Oh, you’re going to thank us later. And besides, we still haven’t gotten to the fun

Christian's POVA year had passed since Mia and I stood before our pack, surrounded by family and friends, and pledged ourselves to each other. The memory of that day was as vivid as if it had happened yesterday, yet the time between then and now had been filled with more life and love than I could’ve ever imagined.I stood on the balcony of our suite in the packhouse, watching the early morning sun rise over the treetops. The territory was peaceful this time of day, the woods that bordered the pack lands bathed in golden light. The packhouse was bustling with activity on most days, but in the quiet hours of the morning, it was serene—almost like the calm before the storm.Inside, the sound of giggles filled the air, followed by Mia’s soft voice calling out to our pups. Alaric was always the first to wake, full of energy and mischief, while Sylvia took her time, blinking up at us with sleepy eyes, like she needed more convincing to start the day.I walked back inside, and there they w

Our wedding. After everything that had happened, from nearly losing Mia to the joy of becoming parents, I needed to make her mine in every way, just like I promised. I wanted everyone to know that she was my everything.Planning a wedding, while also taking care of two pups, wasn’t easy, but I had a lot of help. Christian’s PovThe sterile smell of the hospital room filled the air as I stood by Mia’s side, gripping her hand tightly. My heart pounded in my chest as the doctors prepared for the surgery, and I made sure everything was set exactly as it needed to be. I had insisted on a female doctor and healer for Mia, knowing how important it was for her to feel comfortable during this delicate time. But no matter how many precautions I took, I couldn’t shake the fear clawing at my insides.Mia’s gaze flickered to mine, her eyes wide with anxiety, but I leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead, trying to give her some semblance of reassurance. “I’m right here, baby. I won’t leave your side. We’ll get through this together.”The room bustled with quiet urgency, the healers whispering to each other as they prepared the tools, but all I could focus on was Mia. Her face was pale, but her grip on my hand never faltered. The doctor, a calm and steady woman named Dr. Alina, approached Mia’s s

Christian’s PovAs the tension in the room finally began to ease, I wiped the remnants of tears from my face, still holding Mia’s hand like a lifeline. Her breathing had stabilized, though she still looked pale and exhausted. The doctors had done everything they could, but seeing her so fragile made my chest tighten all over again. The door creaked open softly, and I looked up to see Julia, Anastasia, and Alpha Dominic enter. Their faces were lined with concern, especially Julia, whose eyes immediately darted to Mia.“She’s okay,” I whispered, barely able to hold it together. “She’s… she’s going to be okay.”Julia rushed over to Mia’s bedside, her expression softening with relief. “Thank the moon goddess,” she breathed, reaching down to stroke Mia’s hair gently.Anastasia stood behind her, nodding in agreement but still looking concerned. Alpha Dominic’s imposing figure lingered by the door for a moment before stepping closer, his eyes trained on Mia’s still figure.“She’s strong, Chr

Christian’s PovThe second those lines on the heart monitor went straight, my world stopped. No. No, no, no. This couldn’t be happening.“Mia!” I screamed, my voice cracking as I lurched forward. The doctors were swarming around her, shouting orders and moving in a blur. Everything felt distant, muffled, like I was underwater, and the only thing I could hear clearly was that relentless, high-pitched whine from the machine that told me her heart had stopped. Her heart had stopped. My mate, my Mia, was slipping away, and there wasn’t a damn thing I could do.I surged toward the bed, grabbing the nearest doctor by the collar, yanking him back with all the strength I had left in me. “Do something!” I snarled, my voice barely human. “Save her!”“We’re trying!” The doctor’s voice trembled, fear flickering in his eyes as he tried to pry himself free from my grip. But I didn’t let go. I couldn’t. If I let go, it felt like I was admitting defeat. Like I was letting her go.The room spun arou

Mia’s PovI found myself standing in a place I couldn’t recognize—an endless expanse of white, serene and calm. The air felt cool, not like the sterile cold of a hospital room, but something softer, almost comforting. It was quiet, too quiet, but I felt no fear. Instead, there was an overwhelming sense of peace, like I had walked into another world where the troubles of reality couldn’t touch me.I took a step forward, my bare feet sinking slightly into the soft ground that didn’t seem to exist yet held me all the same. My heart felt lighter, the pain I had experienced moments ago in my body now a distant memory. As I moved through this space, something in the distance caught my eye—a garden, vivid and lush, teeming with colorful flowers that seemed too perfect to be real. Drawn to it, I walked without hesitation, my heart inexplicably pulling me toward the scene. At the far end of the garden, I saw a figure kneeling among the flowers, her hands delicately plucking the petals of a blo

It played out before her eyes like a movie—too real, too painful. She was no longer the adult Mia. Instead, she felt herself small, fragile, and terrified—a four-year-old child once again. The air was thick with the acrid smell of smoke and the deafening sounds of cries. She stood in the corner of her childhood home—her pack, her tiny frame trembling as she clutched her knees to her chest. She could hear it—shouts, cries, the horrifying crackle of fire devouring everything in its path.Little Mia bawled, tears streaming down her face as she watched people—people she knew—falling to the ground. Author’s Pov4 Months LaterThe sun bathed the garden in a golden glow, casting soft shadows over the blooming roses and perfectly trimmed hedges. Mia sat comfortably between Ana and Julia, her hands resting on her swollen belly as they enjoyed their afternoon tea. It had been months since the ceremony, and with each passing day, the anticipation of the baby’s arrival grew stronger. They laughed, their conversation carefree as Ana excitedly showed Mia a variety of tiny gifts she had bought for the baby—soft blankets, little shoes, and a beautifully carved wooden rattle.Mia smiled warmly, feeling the gentle kicks of life inside her. The baby wasn’t due for another month, and despite the natural aches and discomforts of pregnancy, she had felt relatively good. "Look at this," Ana beamed, holding up a little onesie with "Beta in Training" stitched across the front. "Isn’t it adorable? He’s going to look so cute in this!"Mia laughed softly, touching the fabric. "It’s perfect. Thank you

It was as if the music had been timed perfectly to diffuse the tension in the air, giving everyone an excuse to focus on something else. The elegant chords of violins and the regal notes of flutes swept through the room, calming the uneasy murmurs that had begun.Christian turned to me, his smile softening the moment. “Dance with me?” he asked, his voice low and inviting, one hand outstretched toward me.Despite everything, I couldn’t help the smile that crept onto my face. “I’d love to.”I placed my hand in his, and he guided me effortlessly to the center of the dance floor, where other couples had already begun to pair off, the royal rhythm guiding their movements.
