MIA’S POV

Kalazar’s eyes gleamed with malevolent intent as he straightened himself from the blast I had hit him with. The fury that radiated from him was like a living force threatening to choke the air. His lip curled as his gaze flicked toward Balthazar, standing on the edge of the battle, his expression grim but focused.

“Balthazar,” Kalazar barked, his voice echoing like thunder through the chamber, “unleash the army. I want her in my hold. By any means necessary.” He said, pointing at me.

Balthazar’s eyes glinted with dark magic as he nodded. With a wave of his hand, he began chanting in a language that sent shivers down my spine. The air around him shimmered with dark energy, and a swirling portal opened up behind him, its edges crackling with an otherworldly light.
