Samuel blinked, confusion painted his whole face. “Did I say something wrong?”

Shadow fluttered her eyelids in confusion as well. “I don’t think so.”

Malikul waved his hand languidly. “You are a dragon?” Rudely, he pointed his finger at the man.

Samuel blinked at Shadow this time and wasn't sure how to answer him. “Ye–yeah. I am a dragon.”

“I thought dragons only lived amongst them?”

“Yes.”

“So why?” Why are you not with your own race?

It sounded racist but believed him, it’s not what they think. His only concern was, the dragon was supposed to be arrogant. Not polite like this.

Samuel arched his brow and curled up the corner of his lips. “Well… thanks to a certain someone who pulled me into the book out of nowhere… I have adapted my lifestyle among them with a totally different identity.” He smiled but his eyes directly focused on pale Wan.

Malikul followed that gaze. “Wan??”

Wan sighed. His head was throbbing for a different reason. “They are the friends that are loyal to her.”
