Badump, Badump, Badump!

Shadow clenched her chest, the palpating heart rates increased ten folds. She felt the warm palms grasping her shoulder.

“My Lord…”

She turned her head to the cotton-like voice. Her vision was already blurry with anticipation.

“Go. They have been waiting for you, for a while now, My Lord.”

“They are?” Shadow’s glossy eyes vibrated tremendously.

Julia gripped her shoulders tightly. “Go.” The grip was loosened. She traced her hand behind Shadow’s back and lightly pushed Shadow forward.

Shadow felt her knees become weak, the sweat rolled down her forehead.

Badump! Badump! Badump!

Her heart rate increased.

“Your Holiness. They are waiting.” Samuel’s voice broke whatever replayed inside her mind.

Shadow squeezed her strength and swallowed her saliva. Bravely, she took a couple of steps forward and disappeared inside the fabric door.

She blinked rapidly, her hands were sweating but her heart suddenly was at ease. Her eyes laid on Mina right after she was inside.
