II. My Date With Jacob

Before entering the shower I set out to look for a dress to wear on such an occasion and among all my clothes I found a red garment specifically a dress that fit me a little above the knees.

First of all, I already knew firsthand that without a doubt that one was quite comfortable because I had tried it on in advance, in addition to the fact that it had seemed somewhat flirtatious since it had a somewhat uncovered chest for curious eyes making it ideal for such an appointment.

Such a dress was very beautiful, so without a doubt I knew that it would be something to talk about among passers-by once they observed me, although I don't like to be the focus of attention at all, but, even so, I decided to try it so after putting such a piece on the bed I continued with my preparations.

Once everything was ready I got ready to go into the bathroom to freshen up before leaving, a moment that I also took the opportunity to wash my hair at the same time and so once I was ready I got out of the shower, I put on a bra next to a lace boxer both matching in black while above I put on a dry bathrobe until I finished styling my hair.

The minutes were passing and I had to finish therefore I had to take advantage of every moment so even finding myself sitting in front of the dressing table I set out to make up in a simple way so in the line of my eyes I put a little black eyeliner, on my cheekbones a little blush and I painted my lips in a very subtle red tone.

Almost immediately, having finished this task, I went to bed, put on my dress, some not very high black heels and taking a wallet that I had chosen in advance where I had already kept the glasses next to my ID, I decided to leave my bedroom and then I started going down the stairs.

When I came down, my grandparents were in the living room, sitting in the big armchair curled up watching a program on TV, immediately after descending they noticed my presence and resting their eyes on me, they smiled as sweetly as no one has an idea.

Without a doubt I could notice that both their faces lit up once they saw me and it was in such a strong way that before their eyes it was almost impossible for me not to feel ashamed features to the point of blushing.

They quickly filled me with compliments and nice words, because it was well known to them that it was really a miracle more than anything not to say that it was something impossible to see me dressed like that.

The joy arose without delay, it was something remarkable and expected to come from them for the same reason I tried to disguise that blushing smile that formed in my mouth, but that feeling instead of diminishing intensified when I noticed on a small table next to the sofa on which they were, a vase with a red rose that I undoubtedly believed was the same one that grandfather had given to grandmother hours before.

Without a doubt, I must say that grandma always liked flowers especially roses, grandpa always tells me the beautiful stories of when he courted her and that never in his thick hands marked by the day-to-day work, a bouquet of precious red roses as red as the blood itself was missing.

Whenever she narrates the story of her love, she tells me about those moments and emphasizes that each rose was her chosen promise, a rose for each day of their past union, the eternal promise for the love of her life and since then the courtyard of the house has become a beautiful rose bush with an aroma as sweet as honey.

I admired them until I did it and I was so comfortable with that memory until my thoughts began to be overcome by the tireless struggles regarding Jacob in my head for what I commented after giving up.

"By the way, Grandma Jacob asked me to tell you... "

I exclaim, but she immediately interrupted me and finished that paragraph.

"Say no more, she wants gingerbread cookies and strawberry jam. "

He instantly clasped my arms after feeling chills once I heard him because exactly those were the words that I was supposed to say and replied.

"As you knew, sometimes I'm afraid of your sixth sense grandma" and for a few seconds we both laughed out loud.

Grandma walked away from me and guided her steps to the kitchen, from the counter I took a small very light wooden box in Japanese style and placed some cookies inside its surface next to a small jar of jam, once ready I put the lid on it while covering it with a handkerchief with which it matched and handed it to me.

"Tell Jacob to stop being such a glutton," I retort.

"I will try, but you know that his appetite is voracious no matter how much I tell him I estimate that he will not listen to me" increpe and being aware of my words I laughed again at such an answer.

It was time to leave and my grandfather had promised to take me, so not very soon I noticed that I was ready he went upstairs and took the car keys that he had left in his room.

On the way out, I was staring in a stupefied way at the beautiful starry sky that loomed before me, that I didn't realize when grandpa left and he had even made his way inside the car, something I didn't notice because I was so shocked so I didn't react very well, I went down the stairs that come out of the facade.

Calm and calm I was leaving the house pending my own affairs when out of nowhere walking close to me a young man appeared whom I had never seen there, who without hesitation looked me in the face with an extremely serious face and who curiously was walking on the sidewalk in the direction of the residence, which the locals did not do because they were a little afraid of that house.

When getting in the car, I asked grandpa about the young man and if he had seen him, but he evaded me by saying that he had not looked at anyone walking there, I was taken by surprise, to which in response simply to noticing his safety I did not pay much interest so keep quiet and we started our tour.

It was already half past six in the afternoon, it was about thirty minutes exactly before seven o'clock struck, therefore the truth was that I was not in too much of a hurry to get there because the cinema was only ten minutes from home, so with grandpa I decided to stop by the dry cleaner to leave one of his suits because the other day he had to go to solve some issues of his work after my departure.

Yes, in the middle of Sunday; I brought that he was right in the rear right side seat right behind me.

The owner of the dry cleaner was a friend of Grandpa's so he knew that there was no problem in leaving old customs between them at that time, even though it was no longer a working day for the lord.

All the way I debated according to my thoughts anxiously discussing whether or not to put on the glasses, it was something that worried me, but in any case I was hesitant to do it in front of grandfather since he did not know about it that I used them with the intention of hiding me.

We arrived just at six and fifty-five minutes, at the door of the cinema so that he immediately stopped leave the car.

"Thank you for bringing me Grandpa. "

"There's no need to wait, remember not to come back too late, if time Jacob can't take you, call me and I'll pick you up, it doesn't matter the time at all so don't hesitate to call me.  "

"Don't worry grandpa, you will see that I will arrive with well, go home carefully" I commented without delay.

After that the grandfather said goodbye to me and left, even so, despite such an opportunity instead of running out in the direction of Jacob I stayed on the sidewalk watching as the car was lost in the distance.

Once I was aware that there were no moors to the coast I opened my bag I saw the glasses inside and I was arguing with myself again what to do, until I decided after much thought and noticing the direction that fear had made me take in my life to cut such a tie as long as I did not put them on allowing me to feel freedom again.

That day at the entrance of the cinema people for some reason were very rowdy, the crowd was huge so my grandfather left me a few meters away from the entrance door, so when I got ready to find Jacob I started walking with an already established course.

I really don't know if our fate was predisposed by the work of someone superior or if tragedies have been chasing me since long before I started, but, right there a few steps from me was the same young man I saw near my house not long ago and who again made eye contact with me.

It was illogical and before the unthinkable I was surprised by what had happened doubtful and also worried, but nevertheless I decided to continue on my way.

On his side, if he showed any emotion, I walked and I could feel his eyes digging into my skin behind me like sharp daggers.

Without paying attention, crossing the crowd, he guided me to where Jacob was, who not very well noticed me, looked at me extremely surprised and declared at the same time that he smiled.

"I think I arrived just in time. "

"Wao Hope, you look too beautiful" she commented as her mouth remained slightly open.

"Not that it goes, I'm just regular, but from what I see I'm not the only one who dressed elegantly. "

"You have left me stunned without a doubt by the way and your glasses" he replied and immediately the color welled up to my cheeks.

"Today is a special day and I wanted to celebrate it by stopping using them.

"Oh, you don't know how happy it makes me to hear that" and giving me a hug I continue saying "by the way, I already bought the tickets, what do you say if we go towards the hall and look for our seats.

"Of course we go, but... first buy me some popcorn, give her some pleats, it's not the same to be at the cinema without buying sweets. "

Jacob has nothing left but to smile and therefore take me to the fast food store because, like my grandparents, he was an expert in conceiting me so he knew that if or if he was going to have to buy them for me.

So once at the window that one asked for a combo of popcorn with soda and chocolates a perfect meal for such a moment and once with them in hand we left there.

The truth is that it was the worst thing we did because a few seconds later I was undoubtedly going to end up regretting it.

I was so excited that I couldn't stop talking so it was obvious that I was distracted talking to Jacob all the way to the living room, when out of nowhere I stumbled on something that looked like a wall.

My impact against that was so strong that I immediately lost my balance and fell to the floor, not before seeing the soda spilled on top of whatever it was that I had collided with.

Literally, at that moment when I looked at what I had collided with I was surprised, it was a person and not just any one if not again it was the same guy from before and the truth was that I was not liking the situation at all.

"Because you are standing next to your friends in the middle of the corridor" indicate once I raise my face and observe how the one with his back to me remained "we also have the right to cross and excuse what happened " I maintained, with a very marked gesture of discontent in my voice.

Jacob did not wait for me to ask for help because almost immediately he approached me, took me by the arm to help me stand up and then he told me in a low tone.

"You're crazy, you don't know who he is... "

I quickly said, as I pulled my arm out of Jacob's hand.

"No and I don't care. "

Jacob held me again and said...

"This is Ronan Ricci. "

"I don't care about that, I don't know him. "

Jacob immediately answered.

"You should care. Her father owns a large part of the city. "

The truth is that I swallowed dry when listening to those words because, although I am firm in my decisions and problems do not bend me easily, I did not expect to have to meet someone with such power.

After Jacob uttered these words, a nervous smile was drawn on my face, not out of fear of Ronan but because I didn't really know who that boy was so I completely didn't know what he was capable of and when I saw his clothes it was evident that he had a lot of influence in the city because at first glance it was seen that he was someone with money.

I said then with all respect even knowing that that would be a vile lie because Jacob has been my only friend great imprudence mine.

"Then he imagined that he is responsible for there being such a commotion here I say because of his great fame, nor also whatever it was, I know more elegant guys than him. "

Seeing Jacob on his face, a mocking grimace had formed next to a smile that was about to explode and I knew that if that happened I was afraid that the only thing I would achieve would be to create more problems than we already had and if I did it was obvious that I would also end up betraying my lie.

So, in a firm voice, I exclaimed before he followed...

"  Jacob.   "

So he caught his attention by merely pronouncing his name and placing an aggressive look of those that he already knew, that smile immediately faded along with every feature of joy in him, ending that one with the attitude most similar to the image of a cadet in full formation.

Jacob does not know how to control what he says and much less what he thinks when he laughs at the top of his lungs, it really is quite a spectacle, but I did not need at that moment the manifestation of such hubris because I knew that he would undoubtedly ridicule me openly.

Ronan finally turned around and immediately looked at me full of rage and replied:

"You know how much this coat costs. "

I with a somewhat unconcerned look and after observing him from top to bottom I commented.

 "It's just clothes, I don't think it's worth too much. "

"Don't tell me, I'm not as simple as you and this costs a lot. "

While he was saying that, only expressions could be distinguished on his face, which I could interpret at the time as he mostly despised, to which only a simple phrase but full of truth came out of me.

"Whatever you say is simply clothes, that's not why you have to make us less. "

Hearing that was not to his liking at all, which caused an imminent reaction of discontent in his person.

"You are an insolent wanting to play date with this piece of skeleton" I pronounced and then laughed in my own face after speaking in a derogatory way while continuing "I doubt you know what it means to have a real man next to you. "

Warn.

"You're an idiot, you don't have to talk to us like that. "

In my mind I contained my anger and why not, I thought of all possible ways to throw myself at him and hit him, because until now he has been the only person who literally makes my blood boil in spurts.

Ronan made a gesture with his hand because without a doubt he would not give up so easily and even more when he was surrounded by his henchmen so obeying those they all placed around us, while trying to reduce the distance between us, and the truth was not something fair thinking well seven against two nothing even.

Even so, I was not afraid of him at all because if I needed to fight I knew that Jacob and I would undoubtedly have to use brute force, although I don't like it at all and with it martial arts to defend ourselves if necessary.

Faced with the imminent we were preparing because we could not lower our guard at all because I considered that the fight was something already inevitable, when out of nowhere and without waiting for it a young man very similar to my grandfather appeared next to the exit door who was watching me directly diverting my attention entirely.

I'm still not sure if I was the only one to see him or if it was my imagination, but it was clear that he was carefully observing that situation.

At that moment perhaps by instinct I ended up whispering the name of my grandfather Christian in a very soft tone of voice because that boy was the spitting image of his youth, which was impossible because I was aware that I had no more relatives besides my grandparents.

His resemblance was amazing but even so I kept questioning myself over and over again the same phrase "why did he come? "And what's worse" because he looks so much like him? "but that was left unanswered.

From nowhere behind the young man appeared a man dressed in a dark navy blue suit and black tie, corpulent, tall, of good appearance, with gray eyes, a properly trimmed beard and reddish hair a little long; close to this man came some more, there were about ten who apparently were his bodyguards.
