Eden povI was sure that I wouldn’t feel half as angry as I did if it weren’t for Lucius running away and Titus following him soon after. A couple of words from the servant girl were enough for me to understand why my mate had lost his cool and acted so aggressively. Eden povMy head was pounding as I tried to blink my eyes open. My hands were tied behind my back and it appeared that I was sitting on a chair. I tried to move my legs, but my ankles were tied to the chair too. Instantly, I thought of why someone would go this far to keep me in place. There was no way I could break free. Honestly, I doubted my ability to escape imprisonment even if I wasn’t tied to a surface, but maybe whoever took me here doesn’t know I’m pretty much a human. I was right to assume they had brought me to a basement floor, because that was exactly where we were. As we walked up the stairs, they explained that I was taken by a group of hunters that had devoted their lives to saving humans that were stolen by the monsters. Holding back from laughing was getting harder with every step we took. The passion that laced their words made them sound like they were brainwashed for years to believe what they said.
