My head was pounding as I tried to blink my eyes open. My hands were tied behind my back and it appeared that I was sitting on a chair. I tried to move my legs, but my ankles were tied to the chair too.

Instantly, I thought of why someone would go this far to keep me in place. There was no way I could break free. Honestly, I doubted my ability to escape imprisonment even if I wasn’t tied to a surface, but maybe whoever took me here doesn’t know I’m pretty much a human.

The place was dark, I couldn’t even notice shapes or silhouettes.

As my mind wandered to where I could possibly be, panic surged through me. Lucius. He had to have noticed I was gone and was most likely going crazy looking for me. No, I had to get out as soon as possible. I couldn’t let him think I left him.

Gritting my teeth, I started pulling my hands up, hoping I could get out of the ropes. It was a feeble attempt if anyone was near and watched me, but I had to try.

I almost managed to loosen the ropes
