I should have known better than to blindly believe our life was finally getting better. Like a child, I convinced myself that nothing could go wrong anymore.

But of course, like often in life it did - everything went to shit within days.

As soon as the word about our adopted son got out, the toxic rumor train took off. One after another, men flooded our territory, claiming they were the biological father of our boy.

As a result, Eden refused to let the boy walk on his own, she always had him in her arms and Titus, well, he acted like a rabid dog, ready to attack anyone, who came too close to Eden and Magnus.

I was left as the last sane one of our family, a peace keeper that failed all of the damn time.

We did have a conversation about how Eden became the new mother of the boy soon after we found out about him. Eden claimed the maid had said that her mate died before the boy was born.
