Eden pov

While Titus acted like an absolute lunatic, I didn’t step away from Lucius. He held me so close, so tightly, it almost felt as if he feared to lose me more than I feared losing him. This was safety. This was home.

As I inhaled his scent, I didn’t feel as lost anymore. Maybe I was being paranoid and worried about nothing, but past experiences kept replaying in my mind.

“No, hold up for a second!” Kayla screeched.

Unpleasant shivers instantly ran down my spine. God, I had always hated her voice and now that I managed to almost forget it, hearing it made my dislike grow a thousand times bigger.

“First, you will explain why you have arrived and why am I supposed to take shit from strangers. Do you see me walking in your home and spitting commands at everyone? I don’t think so.”

I could imagine the scowl that had to be on her face as she spoke. Although Kayla wasn’t technically of a high rank, she loved acting as if she stood above everyone else.

It was a tiny detail and a s

Eden povThis new revelation was unnerving. Not only because now I had two men close to me who were in danger, but also because Lucius looked seriously worried. He wasn’t the type to show the concern. “Should I ask my mate to release them?” I blurted out as my eyes set on Asher and Kayla, both still reeling in pain. The Alpha glanced over his shoulder, but he didn’t look like he was too eager to set them both free anytime soon. “I suppose so,” he grunted. “The wicked witch will come to the brat’s rescue anytime soon anyway,” the Alpha added in a whisper. Lucius chuckled and flicked his wrist. As soon as he did, both Kayla and Asher collapsed on the floor, panting for their breaths. I knew it was evil, I really did, but I couldn’t help but feel happy for their misery. For once, I wasn’t on the receiving end of someone’s mistreatment. Besides, seeing the man who rejected me, forced to his knees, butt naked at that, made me feel a little giddy.“Are you planning to stay in the packho

Eden povI gaped at the audacity this woman had. She caught me off guard so bad, I was speechless. Heck, even Titus was, and he always had some snarky remark ready to use. My body felt like jelly at this point, so I clung on Titus for dear life. The Alpha looked as dumbfounded as I felt and Lucius, well, he had a scowl on his face, but he didn’t react even as my step-mother kept blabbering nonsense. All that came out of her mouth was more lies about how great Kayla was and how lucky any man would be to have her as theirs. At one point, I felt like I was about to pass out. My heart hammered in my chest, but I couldn’t understand if it was because of the anger I felt or if it was the shock. Once Lucius cleared his throat, she finally shut up. The entire office became deathly silent as she looked up at my mate as if he had promised her to hang the moon. Slowly, he wrapped his fingers around her wrist and moved her hand away from him. “One warning. That is all I am willing to give y

Lucius povAs I stood from my seat, I held Eden close to my chest and nodded at the Alpha. Titus didn’t move from his place even when I stopped by the door. “Oh, I almost forgot there is one more detail I need to point out.” Slowly, I turned around and glared at the step-monster. She cast her gaze down to her feet, surely to hide the displeased look on her face. I knew that bitch had to be planning something. “What is it?” The Alpha asked. I didn’t look at the ill man simply because I had a feeling that he had no part in the madness his wife had created behind his back. With a wide smile on my lips, I spoke. “I need the financial documents. Don’t get ahead of yourself because I’m not asking for anything pack related. Yet. For now, I need the reports of where my mates money has been spent so far and if it’s still being used. I am aware that her parents left quite hefty wealth behind and all was supposed to go to Eden. However, I don’t see any money or cards on her.” As the words l

Eden povLucius insisted we head to the hotel, but as soon as the building came into view, he drove right past it. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but once he parked in front of a luxurious-looking building, I needed answers. As it turned out, he was serious about the pool party he had demanded. He insisted it would happen, so he dragged me through the stores to buy me a swimming suit for the occasion. Only when he felt happy with the choice and found a pair of shorts did we head to the hotel. Everyone around us treated Lucius as a Royalty even without knowing who he was. He explained it with the greed that possessed them as soon as they saw his bank card. According to Lucius, people were wary of him, but as soon as money became a part of their interactions, everyone tried to suck up to him to get more of what he had. By the time we got to the hotel and entered the room, I felt so low on energy, all I wanted was the comfort of bed and a couple hours of sleep. Lucius helped m

Eden povLucius sighed and tightened his hold around me. “How about we leave it for later, then? For when things aren’t as crazy as they are today and we return back home? Then, we can start working on a training plan and some self-defense lessons for you. If being too weak is what you truly fear, let me tell you one thing...” He brought one of his hands to my chin and tilted my head so our eyes met. “You are far from weak, my love. Someone who was forced to crawl to hell and back is anything but weak. While you base your value and strength on who you are, you dismiss so many important details it’s a little sad. It gets worse when you put yourself down like this. Just because so many people mistreated and abused you in the past doesn’t mean you have to treat yourself the way they did. You are so much better than that.” I couldn’t explain the things his words did to me. No one had ever seen me like Lucius did. He saw me for me, not the things I had been called. Although his assuranc

Lucius povAfter our conversation, we managed to fall asleep. Eden passed out nearly instantly while I spent a couple of minutes staring at her sleep like a stalker. I knew that I dumped a lot on her shoulders, but those things had to be spoken about, and I needed for her to understand my position. Technically, I had given her more time than I had the right to. As the King, I had to mark my mate as soon as I found her, fully mate her within three days and by now, we should be expecting an heir. Our situation was tricky with the things she admitted and I really didn’t mind never having children if the Moon Goddess didn’t have any in plan for us, but that also was the reason why I kept Eden a secret. Nobody was to know I had found my mate until I marked her as mine. But clearly, she wasn’t ready for that yet. Or maybe I hadn’t made her feel safe enough to trust me yet. With those thoughts, I finally gave in and fell asleep. I had no idea how much time had passed when Eden woke me

Lucius povThe talk with Alpha Maverick in short was nothing I expected it to be. As I walked inside his office, I expected him to question me about the true reason why we arrived or ask me to share why I thought someone was trying to kill him. Once my ass was firm on the chair, he glared at me and cleared his throat. “I want to know what your intentions are toward Eden. She is a nice girl, very kind and forgiving, but I can’t let anyone stomp over her head as if she means nothing. I have overlooked too much mistreatment of her as it is. It’s about time for me to step up and be the Alpha I am supposed to be. The father I promised to be.” Honestly, I admired his bluntness. The no bullshit approach was rather refreshing. On top of that, the fact that this high-ranked man could admit his mistakes and own up to them, yeah, I could tell he was an Alpha worthy of his title. Plus, the longer I stayed quiet the more color appeared on his cheeks, which had to be an indication of him, getti

Eden povWas it weird that I felt like I was at the top of the world? The way Lucius looked at me made me feel as if there was no other person on this planet, just me. Or maybe it was the fact that he made me feel like he saw no one but me? I watched him as Lucius finally snapped out of the haze and ran up the stairs. Once he reached me, he didn’t say a word; instead, his lips captured mine in a passionate kiss. Although I was taken by surprise, I didn’t hesitate to melt against him. No other man in my life had ever stood a chance to stand near Lucius. Some time ago, I assumed he was a monster, a man incapable of feelings and emotions, yet he did everything to prove how wrong I was to think of him like that. The King was more than I believed I deserved, but I wouldn’t allow the doubt cloud my mind. If the Moon Goddess paired us, she had a reason for that. If a deity thought we were a perfect fit and Lucius seconded that, who was I to deny their vision?Once we broke apart, I remem

Eden povI was beyond nervous as I tried to stop my hands from shaking while cutting up the vegetables. I hadn’t had enough time to figure out how to come clean with my family, but this really felt like the right time to do that. Lucius and Titus were probably already playing their guessing game about whatever they had done wrong and I wouldn’t disturb them doing that. Honestly, both of them have been acting like two hormonal teenagers these days, so they deserved a little adult worthy stress. As some of the kitchen ladies joined me and started up the usual conversations, I felt more at ease. However, every time when I glanced at the clock and saw the dinner time nearing, a new wave of unease surged through me. “Are you planning to prepare some desserts for little Magnus, my Queen?” Mayra asked, flashing me her usual bright smile. I hummed, thinking if sugar was a good idea right before bedtime. But then again, this dinner had to resemble sort of a joyful moment, so maybe it wou

§Three months after the wedding.§Titus povEden was officially ours and no one could do shit about it. Our journey had been nothing less than a deadly fucking rollercoaster ride, but the outcome was so worth it. Looking back at how things went, personally I went from thinking I wouldn’t find a mate, to finding one and being rejected, and finally, to finding out that my best friend and the woman I had grown extremely protective of were my own ‘it’. But best of all, I didn’t get only them. With them both came a family I didn’t dare to dream of and an awesome son. I didn’t tell Lucius and Eden, but if I had to choose, I would always choose Magnus. The little dude was awesome. At least sometimes he was.And now, while Eden and Lucius were busy running around the castle and fucking on top of every surface they could find, my little man Magnus and I were nearly done with building the most badass lego set ever. Well, we would be done with it ages ago if the little shit wouldn’t accuse m

Eden povThe next moment, Titus shoved me on the bed. Both my amazing mates, now husbands, didn’t return the favor they did when they were undressing me. Instead, they took off their clothes torturously slowly. Piece by piece, they dropped everything next to their feet and grinned at me like lunatics.Rolling my eyes, I groaned and turned to my side to mumble, “since you two are taking ages to undress, I might as well take a nap while you’re at it.” I knew I was playing with fire, but what was life without some spark in it? It didn’t take much time for both of them to grab my ankles and pull me to the end of the bed. Lucius instantly dropped to his knees and spread my legs. The moment his tongue ran between my folds, Titus’ lips captured mine in a passionate kiss. All of my moans were muffled and silenced by his tongue, tasing me and exploring every bit of my mouth. When Lucius slid his tongue lower, I bit Titus’ lip to break the kiss. “What?” He asked, breathless. “What is Luc

Eden povWith Richard and Magnus by my sides, I felt at ease. The door opened and the music started. As soon as we stepped on the beautiful white carpet laid down the aisle, Lucius and Titus turned their heads to look in our direction. The moment their eyes set on me, blinding smiles spread across their lips. I had never thought about my wedding day, but I never imagined that my husband-to-be would cry seeing me. In reality, I had two men who were ready to die for me, and both had tears in their eyes. As I slowly walked down the aisle, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from them. Both were wearing perfectly tailored suits, a rose in their pockets. And best of all, they were holding each other’s hand. When I finally reached them, Richard squeezed my hand, whispered, “I’m so proud of you,” and then held my wrist to offer my hand to Lucius. Magnus did the same, but he whispered that I looked beautiful and he would punch his dad’s asses if they hurt me. Richard and Magnus took their assi

Eden pov A week had passed since we returned home, like one, united family, better than ever. Lucius made it his life goal to ensure that my old pack had everything under control. As it turned out, the old Alpha was a liar, not a man of honor. He faked his disease to get rid of the responsibilities of leading a pack and while everyone worried about his health, the old Alpha lived a life of luxury. That, of course, was sponsored by the wealth left to me by my mother as well. Recently, the new Alpha and his Luna found out that the pack was nowhere near struggling financially even without my money. They had loads of cash hidden all over the place and multiple incoming money streams. We all agreed that it had to be the plan of the old Alpha and my step-mother. They had to have been planning to save up as much as they could, bleed the pack dry and take off. But as for us, our life was great. My mates were better than ever, Richard took it upon himself to bond with our son and b

Eden pov This was one of those moments when I really needed Kanox. I needed his advice or at least to hear his voice. While I had no idea what I was supposed to do, he would definitely have the answer. My eyes focused on the sick creature, wearing someone’s else’s skin as if that was no big deal. He looked human, but didn’t smell like one. Honestly, if he were to walk among other humans, I had little to no hope that anyone around him would understand that he was a sick, sinister creature, not one of their own. When he stepped so close I could smell a hint of sulfur on him, I realized he wasn’t just another supernatural. This was the first time I caught on the smell as well. “Will you first tell me the full story about my parents?” Clearly, he saw through me. I wanted to know, yes, but I also was using the question to stall, to win some time for my mates. “Of course, anything for you,” it said, grinning. I gulped, growing more nervous with every second that passed, but

Titus povI had no idea how Lucius felt about this, but what I found extremely fascinating was how the old man spoke about Eden. He sounded amazed and scared shitless at the same time. Sure, I wasn’t the best person to judge one’s character without massive amounts of information, but I could have sworn that he was just as clueless about what this ‘special’ trait was as we were. “And?” Lucius broke the silence, urging the old man to tell us more. The grunt that left him clearly was a proof of his unwillingness to tell us more, not that Lucius cared anyway. “Richard, we are done playing games. It is our mate you are talking about, Titus and I deserve to know what’s so special about Eden and exactly why that creature is after her.” My eyes darted between them two as I imagined an intense tennis match. The ball went from one side of the court to the other, never reaching the ground or the white lines surrounding them. At this rate, this imaginary match could go on for ages. “There a

Lucius pov“Where?” I growled the word as I stomped to him, grabbed his throat and squeezed it until I cut off his air supply. I trusted this fool. I trusted him with the safety of my mate and this is how it came out? He ran like a bloody coward while our mate was taken by some mad lunatic and brought Goddess knew where? Richard’s hands grabbed mine as he struggled to get out of my hold, but I had none of it. Whatever would happen next was out of my control - this time, I would allow Xabat take the fucking thing he loved almost as much as he loved our mates. Richard’s spine. Titus rushed to my side and carefully placed his hand on my shoulder. “Xabat, babe, let him go. Trust me, we need him alive. It wasn’t his fault. Don’t make this harder than it already is. Listen to what the old man has to say, maybe he has ideas where that fuckhead took Eden. We need the old man.” Honestly, I wouldn’t have released Richard. Ever. He had to pay for his carelessness and lack of attempts to save

Eden povMy eyebrows furrowed in confusion. I understood that this thing was on some weird quest because of my late mother, but why was her blood so damn important? While I was busy trying to figure it out, the creature snapped his fingers and suddenly, my eyes opened with ease. The weight was gone and nothing held me down, except for the restraints on my legs. “See, it wasn't so hard, was it?” It mocked me.My eyes scanned the dark room until they set on the black blob of nothingness in the furthest corner. I might be freaking dreaming because I could have sworn the thing was grinning at me. It had no mouth, no eyes, no limbs - nothing. And yet, I could feel his eyes on me and see the non-existent grin across the lips. “Do not worry, my lovely. I shall help you see me in a better light soon. You see, I have brought a friend with me. Trust me, you’ll love him. I chose him to fit your liking. I told you that I’ve been watching, haven’t I?” With that being said, the thing disappear
