“Did you have fun today?”

His mom asked coming into his room without knocking, he glared at her.

“Can you at least knock?”

“I did, you didn’t answer,”

She responded, walked into his room, and sat on his bed.

“Oh,”

“Yeah, you okay right?”

She asked and he nodded, turning to her.

“Yes, I am fine, I had fun, I ran into someone I know and we caught up on a lot, it was worth it,”

He lied, it would have been true if he had actually listened to what Mark had talked about but he didn’t, he had been much too absolved in his thoughts about the man who would never be his again, he was so stupid.

“I am glad you did, now say thank you, if I didn’t tell you to go out, you would have been stuck here and won’t have met your old friend,”

She said and he rolled his eyes and walked to his bed.

“So you want me to tell you ‘thank you for the barest minimum?? I am your only child, you are supposed to look after me,”

He responded.
