87. "Not Innocent"

Martin was seething with anger upon seeing Hunter for the first time that day.

"Where have you been? Do you have any idea what happened in my house?!" Martin demanded.

"Sir, we have identified the individual responsible for the poisoning," Hunter informed.

"Really? Who was it?"

"It was Zoe's bodyguard, Ian Schober. He was also Zoe's stalker."

Martin's eyes widened. He couldn't fathom that the culprit was someone so close and that he had trusted that person to protect Zoe.

Martin, feeling guilty for Zoe, asked, "Did you catch him?"

"I'm sorry, but we didn't," Hunter replied.

"Try your best to catch him and cooperate with the police. I'll go back to rescue Zoe and prove her innocence," Martin insisted.

Hunter frowned and said, "But, Sir, Zoe is not innocent at all."

Confused, Martin turned around and shook his head. "What do you mean?"
