Eden–POV

"What is Ethan's status?" A voice emanated from the crystal ball. It was Jacob, the leader of the KCA. He had never revealed his face to us, choosing to communicate through the crystal instead.

"I've ordered Keenan to finish the work," I added. A loud sigh resonated from the crystal, clearly indicating his disappointment.

"Keenan is not the right person to keep Ethan alive and safe. I don't want Ethan dead; he knows how to resurrect King Colton." Jacob's stern tone gave me a headache; I hadn't been able to sleep well.

"Who do you suggest takes on this task?" I asked. "Half of your men are on another mission to retrieve the items needed to unseal King Colton's coffin. Only Keenan is available." I countered, frustrated with his unrealistic expectations.

"You're available, aren't you?" he pointed out.

"I'm not embarking on any missions. I need to keep an eye on Archer and..." I paused, not wanting to disclose my strategy.
