Eden – POV

Breathing heavily, I landed in my office. "I almost got killed by the man I love," I thought to myself. Hastily, I wiped the sweat from my forehead. Gazing at the new crystal ball I had set up after breaking the old one, I sensed an impending call from Jacob, who might be furious. Using my magic, I answered.

Jacob's voice was sharp with anger. "What the hell, Eden? Ethan's been captured. He might spill everything."

I tried to calm him. "Don't worry, we've never shown our faces to the followers we meet. Your identity won't be compromised," I reassured him, though my voice betrayed my frustration. "I'm sure you've got a contingency plan," I added with a hint of aggression.

Jacob's tone shifted to mocking. "Your reckless actions have led us into trouble, dear Luna," he sneered. Anxiety gripped me.

"What do you mean?" I inquired, fear creeping into my voice.

With a deceivingly sweet tone, Jacob delivered the chilling news. "Eden, Ethan saw you. He's given a description. Soon, y
