“What kind of curse?” I asked, noticing the tension in the room. Archer’s parents sat on the couch, their calm exterior barely masking their unease at my presence. Archer looked uncomfortable, hesitating before he spoke.

“I am cursed for killing my brother,” Archer revealed with a heavy sigh. The words hurt as if each one was a struggle. The room filled with a heavy silence, the weight of his confession palpable. I noticed the pain flash across his mother’s face, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears, while his father maintained a stoic expression.

“My brother craved power above all else. I had no choice but to stop him. In doing so, the Moon Goddess cursed me. My brother, the rightful heir, challenged me and lost. According to our laws, he was to become the beta, and I the alpha. Unable to accept this, he plotted to overthrow us, forcing me to act,” Archer explained, his voice thick with grief. The sorrow emanated from him and his parents, a tangible cloud of loss and re
