Sarah's POV

"Look what the seagulls brought Eth." I spread my arms out, pointing toward the expanse of the open sea where many seagulls were flying around, waiting for the fish to surface.

Ethan turned to me for a moment before he set his sights on the seagulls I mentioned, his arms drawing my body closer to his as the wind picked up and blew toward us. "Ah, he's got a big fish in his beak." He looked at me with a laugh, watching my face as I laughed.

I nodded as I watched the fish being painstakingly carried away by the seagull that didn't want to share its catch with others. Even birds try that hard in life and don't want to share their efforts with others.

Seeing it made me think back to the situation Ethan and I were facing on the ship's deck, which was running steadily with the wind blowing against us. I thought about where we had come to with what we had gained. I wondered if this was too much or the other way around.
