Sophie's POV

“What are you doing here? Huh?” I asked angrily.

“Calm down Sophie, I got back from the office, then I saw Lucia laid on the floor, panting and drenched in sweat. So I rushed her to the hospital immediately. It was when she regained consciousness that she told me she had a heart problem,” he explained.

Really? Heart problem? I didn't believe that Lucia had a heart problem, I knew she planned that so that she could hang around with my husband. She wants to be all over Oliver like a moth to flame and I won't let that happen.

I can't just sit and see someone try to take my husband away from me. Even though I didn't know Lucia that much, I just hated her. She seemed fake, but Oliver couldn't see through her facade.

My eyes traveled to her beautiful, doll-like features and enchanting figure.

She doesn't deserve the kindness and care Oliver was giving her. I just wished Oliver could open his eyes and see who Lucia was.

“You are here,” she asked disdainfully, her painted lips curling with contempt and mockery as she looked at me. I just felt like strangling her to death.

I wanted to scowl at her, but Oliver's mother's presence made me not to. I didn't want her body to get any worse.

“What's going on here, can someone explain to me?” Oliver's mom asked coldly before furrowing her blows.

I folded my arms and looked away.

“Look mum, it's nothing, this is my old friend Lucia. She came yesterday for a business trip so she is staying with us for the meantime,” he said.

Without a word, she looked at me, definitely trying to inquire if Oliver was saying the truth. It pained me deep in my soul that I couldn't explain everything to her. I forced a smile on her and nodded.

“I was just kind of surprised to see them in the hospital, that's all,” I said. I couldn't see Oliver's mom's expression neutral, not like the one she had earlier. This was definitely her first time seeing Lucia and I could tell she didn't trust her.

“Good afternoon, mom. How's your body,” Lucia greeted. I stood there staring at Lucia as my blood boiled with rage.

“Afternoon, I'm doing fine lately. And it's good seeing you,” she replied.

Tears suddenly welled up in my eyes. I just couldn't hold myself any longer. I walked out of the ward, I could feel Oliver and Lucia's gaze on me as I walked past them. I rushed straight to my car, and when I entered, I broke down. I could hold the sob anymore. Lucia was a real pain in the ass and I needed to teach her a lesson.

I started the car, my hands trembling against the wheel as I drove home. I was just so desperate to leave the hospital.

Arriving home, I walked myself to the living room and sank onto the couch. I threw my head back as Lucia's actions pressed down on me like a velvet embrace.

Just then, I heard my phone buzzing loudly, which made my heart skip a beat. I glanced at the screen, it was Oliver.

‘Come on, I'm so sorry, it's not what you think it is, I swear,’ it read.

I stared at the text for a while before rolling my eyes off, unable to deal with his apologies.

After a few minutes, I heard a car screeching in the driveway. I knew it was definitely Oliver and Lucia. I sniffed and wiped off my tears. I couldn't let Lucia see me so vulnerable. I needed to be strong to save my husband from the bitch.

Oliver entered and walked straight to me. “Sophie, please listen…” he pleaded, trying to reach me, but I shrugged his hands off and walked upstairs.

I have had enough and it's time I started showing Oliver that I was not the patient one anymore.

I went and threw myself on the bed. I heard the door crack open and I knew it was Oliver.

After a few seconds, I heard Oliver's voice, soft and soothing. “Sophie,”

I smirked before turning. I was confused as he stood there naked as his huge dick pointed towards my direction. For a moment, I was taken aback. Really? He was trying to win me over with his naked body as he always does.

I quickly regained my composure as my eyes, still fixed on his cock, not even wanting to blink.

“Sophie,” he called. I finally raised my head and looked at him.

“I'm so sorry, and I know it is hard for you, but I promise you it is not what it looked like. I was just trying to help,” he whispered, his smile warm but tinged with apology.

I glanced down at his cock, then back at him. I knew I had no choice than to forgive him. I was already seduced by him at the moment.

“Alright, apologies accepted, but one condition,” I said.

He walked and sat at the side of the bed. “I'm all ears,”

“You will always inform me about things. I hate it when I have to find out for myself,” I stated.

He let out a heavy sigh, “alright sweetie. Now let me take my bath. I want to take you out for a dinner date just the two of us and when we're back we will have sex,” he chuckled.

I nodded, looking at him expectantly. I was beyond the moon with excitement, at least he finally came back to me, and for the dinner date? That was a perfect suggestion because I felt it was a gateway that would help me forget all the dramas of the earlier.

After Oliver finished taking his bath, I chose his outfit for the dinner date; a blue suit.

We all headed downstairs. Reaching the living room, Sophie let out a loud guttural scream, lying on the floor with her hands on her chest as if she was patiently waiting for us to come down before she acted.

“My heart hurts!” she screamed, rolling back and forth on the bare marble floor.

My heart tightened as I watched Oliver immediately rush to her.
