Kayra's POV

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself, but the emotions raging in my heart were difficult to suppress. I looked at Darwis with eyes full of worry and confusion.

"Darwis, I need more than just promises. I need real action," I said in a voice that was starting to rise.

"I told you, I will try, Kayra," he answered in a firmer tone. "But you also have to give me time."

"Time? How much longer? I've been waiting and being patient, but every time there's a problem, you always come back to thinking about Kate!" I started to feel hopeless and frustrated. "What really happened, Darwis? Why can't you let go of your past?"

Darwis sighed and looked at me with a look that was difficult to interpret. "It's not about me not being able to let go of the past. It's about me trying to keep everything under control."

"Controlled? What about us? Do you feel that we are insignificant?" I became increasingly angry, feeling that all my feelings and efforts were not appreciated.
