Tyler POV

The last two years have been hell; we searched all over the Seelie realm for Lisha. When Allana told my father that the Seelie Queen set up a meeting with the Werewolf and Vampire King, it gave us the perfect excuse to enter the Seelie court. We finally found her, and then I had to leave her again. It broke my heart and shattered my wolf Tristan; it took him months to recover. Once a werewolf finds their mate, we do not cope well with not being near her. Watching Skyla and Xavier's bond get stronger the more time they spent together didn't help my sanity much. We planned Lisha’s rescue carefully. Having Skyla with us was invaluable; even though she never spoke about what happened to Lisha and her, Skyla’s knowledge of the palace was extensive.

I smile across the table at Lisha; she is finally home and where she belongs, with me. Lisha has grown even more beautiful since I saw her. Her black hair reflects purple through the ends and falls to her waist. Her purple eyes change color when she is emotional. The olive tone of her skin reminds me of honey. She is beautiful, and every part of her is perfect. I have always loved Lisha and always will. Gina has cooked fresh bread with a beef casserole. While Lisha eats, I watch her. I still can't believe she is here; I will never take my eyes off her again.  Lisha stands and goes to clear the table; stopping when I say,

“Uh uh, leave it; I can do it later.”

I take her hand in mine and lead her to the lounge room. Lisha chuckles when I sprawl across the couch and pat the small space beside me. She shakes her head and wiggles into the gap on the sofa. I go to move and give her more room when she grabs my arm and whispers,

“Lay down, Tyler,”

I rest my head on her lap; she rubs her fingers through my hair,

“I missed you, Lisha.”

She bends, kissing me softly.

“I missed you too, Tyler.”

We have a lot to discuss, but I am happy to spend time alone with her. Looking into my eyes, she smiles.

“There is only one bed,”

Raising my eyebrows, I ask,

“Is that a problem?”

She shakes her head.

“No, Tyler, it's not a problem. There’s nowhere else I want to be,”

“Do you want to talk about anything?”

She covered her mouth with her hand, yawned, and said,

“There’s nothing to discuss; I am home with you, and that's all I’ve ever wanted.”

I stand, holding out my hand, and lead her to our bed; she sighs,

“Can you just hold me tonight, Tyler?”

I nod. “Yes.” and lay down, opening my arms as she nestled into me. Brushing the hair from her face, I kissed the top of Lisha’s head as she whispered,

“Thank you, Tyler,” and she fell asleep.

I move slightly, getting comfortable as her scent of jasmine and summer rain hit me. My body stirs to life, and my balls tighten as my cock starts to harden. Fuck I have to get out of here and fast. Groaning, I gently lift Lisha away from me, get back out of bed, and walk to the front door. Skyla and Xavier are walking back from the river. It doesn't take a genius to work out what that lucky bastard has been doing. Skyla smirks when she sees me and asks.

“Hi Tyler, what's keeping you up?”

I know she can see the bulge in my jeans; I shake my head and mutter,

“Ha Ha, Smart arse, can you stay with Lisha if she wakes up? I need a run,”

Skyla chuckles, “Of course, I can,” and walks inside the cabin.

I turn to Xavier, asking,

“Are you coming?”

He grins as he says,

“Always happy to help you out, Tyler,”

How is it possible I managed to surround myself with fucking comedians? Xavier is still grinning like a bloody idiot when he asks,

“Where do you want to go first?”

"We might as well patrol the borders.”

He laughs,

“That bad, is it?”

I growl, undress, and shift. Tristan takes the lead when I hear Xavier burst out laughing and stammer.

“Yep, I can see your problem now, Tyler.”

We run toward the border; after a couple of hours, we still haven't picked up on any scent that shouldn't be there. I don't understand how the fuck  the vampires got that close with no one noticing. The heat starts to leave my blood, and we turn back toward home. I shift, pulling my jeans on; Xavier shakes his head, motioning for me to follow him. Walking back to the river, he sits on the bank, waiting for me.

”I told Skyla, and she thought Lisha should know, Tyler.”

I clench my teeth, trying to control my anger, and snarl,

“Why does everyone think they should have an opinion where my mate is concerned, Xavier?”

“She is my sister, Tyler.”

“I don't give a fuck. I want a few days for Lisha to settle back in here, let her rest, and build her strength.  Waiting another couple of days won't make that much difference, will it?”

He sighs,

“Yes, it will. The vampires that attacked us were after Lisha.''

“How do you know that?”

Looking back over the water, he says,

“Did you not notice how slowly the vampires moved”

I didn't notice; I was too busy watching Lisha and ensuring she was safe, Xavier continued.

”I know my father; he had a hand in this,”

“Fuck me, Xavier. I just got her back.”

“You and Lisha will be fine, Tyler, but you know I am right; we must tell her.”

I get up off the ground and wait for Xavier to stand, then say,

“Fine, Xavier, we will tell Lisha in the morning; let the others know but don't come too early.”

Xavier chuckles,

“I don't sleep, and Skyla doesn't need much sleep anymore. Any suggestions on how we can occupy ourselves.”

I snort,

“You know you're not funny.”

Xavier chuckles,

“Bullshit, I am fucking hilarious.”

I laugh,

“No, you're a prick, Xavier; now fuck off home. I’m sick of looking at you.”

The door opens, and Skyla smiles at me as she leaves. I enter the house going straight to the bathroom. I linger in the shower, trying to relax, then wrap a towel around my hips before trying to find some boxers. I usually sleep naked. I smile; I wonder how Lisha would feel if she woke up beside my bare ass. I glance back at the bed and then shake my head. No, better not! I open the window to let the cool breeze in and slowly climb into bed, trying not to disturb Lisha. She rolls over, wrapping her arms around me. I know I won't get much sleep tonight having her this close to me.

Every time Lisha says my name, I feel a shiver of ecstasy. I can't stop thinking of what I want to do to her. I feel my balls tightening as my arousal grows. Needing to touch her, I run my fingers gently down her arm, loving the softness of her skin. She moans, pressing her body closer to me. I brush her hair away from her face again. Her hair feels like silk as it runs through my hands. She is even more beautiful than when I last saw her. I couldn't be happier. My mate is finally in our home, lying beside me. My mind drifts back to the conversion with Xavier. Tomorrow, I will speak to my father about increasing patrols around our village and the borders. The Vampire King is relentless when he wants someone or something, and there is no way I will let him get his hands on Lisha again.

Gabriel POV I smile and open my eyes, I dreamt of Lisha last night, and after today those dreams become a reality. Nadia is still in my bed; she rolls over, running her hands across my chest as I get out of bed; I clasp her hand in mine and whisper, “I have some business I need to attend to, Nadia; stay here; I won't be long.” She leans on one elbow and looks at me, asking, “Where are you going, Gabriel?” I smirk; there’s no way I am telling Nadia what I have planned; after today, I may not have any use for her, but if Cassandra doesn't give me what I want, then I am still going to need Nadia to warm my bed. I bend, kissing her plump lips, and murmur, “I need to speak to Cassandra; I’ll be back shortly.” Nadia sighed and then laid back down; she smiled sensually, not taking her eyes off my naked body, and whispered, “Don't take too long; I may not be here when you return.” I shrug, enter my bathroom, and have a quick shower; Nadia can say whatever she likes; we both k

Lisha POV I wake to the smell of coffee brewing; Tyler is looking out the window, deep in thought. He hasn't bothered to put a shirt on. My eyes drift from his muscular shoulders, running down the curve of his back to where his jeans hang loosely on his hips, covering his incredible arse and thick, muscular thighs. I have always been attracted to him. I didn't realize until I saw him again that Tyler was my mate. If Tyler had been Fae, I would have felt the pull off our mate bond immediately; because he is a werewolf, our bond will need time to strengthen. I stretch slowly and sigh with pleasure; Tyler turns, smiling his sexy half-smile, the one that turns one side of his incredible mouth up. My eyes drift across his muscular chest to his biceps, down his stomach. I smirk when I notice his adonis belt screaming a little on the inside as my need to touch him grows. Fuck, this man is a god. All I can think of is running my tongue along every inch of him. He wiggles his eyebrows cheekil

Lisha POV When Skyla and Xavier leave, I sit on the bed, holding my head in my hands. Tyler touches me on my shoulder and asks, “Are you alright, Lisha?” My lips tremble as I try to smile, “I need to go home.” Tyler looked hurt at my words; his voice was soft when he asked, “Why, Lisha, don't you want to stay here with me?” “It's not forever, Tyler, and I want you to come; I just need to say goodbye to my mother.” He sits down and embraces me, whispering, “Let’s go before anyone else decides they need to talk to us.” I never grieved for my mother in the four years I was in the Seelie realm. It took all my time and energy to stay alive. My mother was one of the most beautiful women I have ever had the privilege to know. Her beauty was not only in her looks but also in her soul. She never had a bad word to say about anyone, never judged anyone, and welcomed anyone into our home. I smile when we walk into the front yard of my childhood home, I can see my mother bending over h

Lisha POV We have been home for nearly a week, and Allana still hasn't returned; to make things worse, whenever Tyler and I try to get a moment alone, he is needed elsewhere; I am starting to think the universe is working against us, and will stop at nothing to keep us apart. I pace up and down the kitchen, waiting for Tyler to return from another errand Mathew has sent him on. If I don't do something, Tyler and I will never get a moment's peace; there’s so much I have to discuss with him. I grab a bag and pack some clothes for Tyler and myself; I have decided to take Tyler to Allana’s cave. After carrying the bags to the porch, I sit on the steps, not taking my eyes off the lane that leads to our house; hopefully, I can talk to Tyler alone without interruption and make him see how unprepared we are and that attacking Cassandra and Andras would be a senseless waste of all our lives, there’s no doubt in my mind that we would lose. When I see Tyler approaching the house, I pick the bag

Allana POV I smiled when I entered my cave; Lisha and Tyler's scent was everywhere. I make myself a coffee before walking over to the bed, raising my eyebrow when I realize what they have been doing. I may have some fun with this; I won't get another chance. I clear my throat noisily. Lisha stirs, and opening her eyes, she squeals. Tyler jumps out of bed, ready to protect her, forgetting he is naked, “My Tyler, haven't you grown into a large man.” He blushes as he tries to cover himself with his hands. I chuckle, looking at Lisha, “Coffee is ready if either of you is interested.” Wiggling my eyebrows at Tyler, I smile, “You don't have to get dressed if you don't want to, Tyler.” Lisha groans as she sits up, “Omg, Allana, stop embarrassing Tyler, please.” I walk away laughing. Once Lisha is dressed, she hugs me. I cuddle her back, saying. “Tyler has not marked you, Lisha?” She glares at me, “I haven't seen you for four years, and that's the first thing you say to me.” I c

Lisha POV I can't stop thinking about what Allana has told me. Cassandra needed to be stopped, and I knew that, but now was not the right time. My anger rises, and my magic flows through me; the power is intoxicating. The wind around me gets stronger, leaves fly into the air, and trees start to bend. I can feel I am beginning to lose control when Tyler puts his arms around me; I can barely hear him as he says, “You need to breathe, Lisha. Listen to my voice; come back to me.” He runs soft kisses down my neck, my body responds to his touch, and I relax against him as my control returns. Skyla and Xavier walk over to us when we reach the village outskirts. I look at Skyla properly for the first time since I returned home. Skyla has changed; she still looks like the Skyla I know, only now her skin glows in the sunlight, and her hair looks like silk and falls down the middle of her back. When she walks, she looks like she glides across the ground. Skyla s beauty and grace are breatht

I am scared I am going to hurt someone. I run through the forest until I can no longer hear any werewolves from the village. Everything comes rushing back to me, my mother being murdered, finding out that Andras and Cassandra killed my father, and the abuse I dealt with at the Seelie court. My legs give way from under me; I can't run anymore; I sit on the forest floor, digging my hands into the ground. Sobs wracked my body; I was so glad to be home; all I want is to spend my life here with Tyler. Why can't Tyler, Xavier, and Skyla see what they are trying to do will get us all killed, and why is Allana encouraging them? Allana has told people for years that I will have immense power when I turn eighteen. Where is it? I am starting to doubt everything she has ever told me. I can't hold it anymore. Lisha POV The werewolf takes us to the great hall where King Damian is waiting for us. My jaw hits the floor when I see him. He is enormous, at least six foot seven inches tall. I can see the muscles on his chest, shoulders, and biceps straining against his shirt when he moves. The animal magnetism that comes from him is overpowering. His long brown hair is loose and falls in heavy waves to his chest, his beard is cropped short against his rugged jaw, and his deep-set dark brown eyes sparkle with mischief as he looks at Allana. He smiles before saying, “It has been a long time Allana.” His voice is deep and husky; everything about the man is sensual. Allana inclines her head at him, giving him a flirtatious smile as she saunters closer and kisses his cheek. “Hello, Damian; it's good to see you again.” “You are still as beautiful as ever, Allana.” She giggles at him, saying, “And your still as handsome as ever, Damian.” I have to admit my grandmother has excellent taste in men

Nate and Asher will grow into extremely handsome men; I can see them breaking many hearts before they find their true mates. Nate and Asher adore Tyler, and he is a fantastic father; he treats both our boys as his own. The first thing Tyler, Xavier, Skyla, Tiffany, and I did was build a meeting house in the center of the four realms. Every three months, we come together as representatives for our species and discuss any issues that may arise. Each kingdom has two representatives for the Unseelie, Zane and I; the werewolves, Tyler and Mateo; the vampires, Xavier and Skyla; and the Unseelie, Tiffany, an

I knew there was someone behind me, but I didn't dare to turn my head and have a look. Lisha smirked as the fog grew thicker and denser; Allana was so confident in her abilities that she refused to consider for one moment we could beat her. Allana hissed, her eyes glancing at each of us as she snarled, “You can't beat me, you foolish girl.” Lisha's laughed softly. Only the people closest to her knew what that particular laugh meant; it always sent shivers down my spine. She looked at Allana and whispered, “I am not trying to beat you, Allana; you wanted power, and I am going to give it to you.” Allana's eyes narrowed as she stared at Lisha, her lips twisting into an ugly smile as

Xavier, Skyla, Tyler, and I knew what was coming, but no one else did; the fewer who knew what we intended to do, the better. Tyler made short work of Anton, the warrior who told Allana we were here; he was one of Dimitri’s wolves, I knew we should have killed the lot of them when we killed Dimitri, but Tyler wanted to believe that they were loyal to us, so he did. Sometimes it's better to learn the hard way than be made aware of the truth by someone else, even if you love that person wholeheartedly. The day we have been waiting for is finally here; we leave Mathew's cabin under cover of darkness. The one hundred wolves Tyler brought with him will stay hidden inside Mathew's village until everyone else arrives. Then they will join us in the procession to where Allana, Xavier, and Skyla were supposed to be waiting for us. We could hear Allana’s people getting organized for everyone to

Skyla tugs on my shirt sleeve, murmuring, “You had better wipe that disgusted look off your face before we get too close to her.” I give myself a shake and remember why we are here, “She extravagant.” Skyla chuckles, “That she is; now smile sweetly for your bitch of a grandmother and lavish her with praise.” Allana takes a step closer to us, opening her arms wide; embracing Skyla and then me as she says, “I am so glad you are here; come inside, and I will give you a tour of my home.” The beauty of the castle and grounds are breathtaking; gardens are scattered everywhere, filled with flowers of every color and description imaginable. The castle itself has been constructed out of white limestone, and heav

I whispered, “Won't Allana become suspicious if our not with Xavier?” He shakes his head, “No, she only required Zane to escort Xavier, Skyla, and his vampires into the realm.” I grinned, “How is Lisha?” He smiled, “Good, she is safely hidden inside my cabin.” After my wolves were taken to their quarters, I left them in my father's care and went to see Lisha. Lilly opened the door of my father's house and stepped to one side before leaving; I frowned, “Where are you going, Lilly?” Lilly hesitated before glancing up at me and murmuring, “I thought you and Lisha might like some time alone.” I smirked and moved out of her way; Lilly is and has always been one of the worst liars I have ever met, Lisha has been up to something, and I need to fin

I grabbed Lisha’s arm as she went to walk past me and whispered, “Are you going to me? What happened in there, Lisha?” She blew out a breath and whispered, “It's getting light, Lilly. We need to get back to Mathews.” I growled, “How the hell am I supposed to protect you if you don't tell me anything.” Lisha glanced back the way she came for a moment, then turned back to me and whispered, “When we get back to Mathew's house, I will tell you everything, but if we don't go now, someone will see us.” Lisha raised her eyebrows and inclined her head in Zane and Matthew's direction; there was no point in arguing with her any longer; her expression alone

Lisha POV Lilly is correct; the forest feels cold and unwelcoming as we follow Zane deeper into the woods. Every so often, I catch a glimpse of glowing eyes peering back at us; I didn't say anything to Zane at first because of thought I was seeing things, but the last ones I saw were a little too close for comfort as far as I am concerned. I swear under my breath and increase my pace so I can walk beside him. The paths narrow, and it infuriates me further when I keep hitting my head on the tree's low-hanging branches. How fucking long has it been since anyone walked this trail? I grab hold of Zane's arm, causing him to stop mid-step and ask, “I thought you said no one would see us?” He glances at the trees surrounding us and murmurs, “The people here won't hurt us.” I growl, “What fucking people, Zane.” He shrugs, “The banished, the Fae that didn't support Allana, she banished them all to this part of the forest.” “Why here.” He raises his eyes, looking toward a cl

Tyler POV The air is electrifying as my wolves prepare to leave our territory, so many of them are still holding grudges against the Unseelie, I will have to keep a tight reign on them, so this doesn't turn into a total blood bath. Mateo is the only member of my pack who is similar in size and appearance to Theo; he will be the one to lead a hundred of my wolves into Allana’s realm. If he doesn't get too close to her, we will be able to fool her for a short time, at least. Not having Lisha here is hard; I know we argue sometimes, but what couple doesn't? It's all part of getting to know each other again. Having a bit of space from each other has helped me realize that if Lisha has to stay in the Unseelie lands until she has the baby, I will stay there with her. I know Mateo will take care of my wolves until we can work something else out. This time when Xavier appeared at my side, he didn't startle me; I sensed him coming before he arrived. I can see and feel her changing; my nerves are shot, and I pray to the moon goddess every chance I get pleading with her to do something, anything to stop Lisha from falling into madness. I can't leave her. I love her too much, and in the back of my mind is the thought that Tyler will arrive tomorrow morning. Please, goddess let her hold onto her sanity until he comes, they say love conquers all, so if anyone can pull Lisha out of the pits of despair, it will be Tyler.
