Lisha POV
We have been home for nearly a week, and Allana still hasn't returned; to make things worse, whenever Tyler and I try to get a moment alone, he is needed elsewhere; I am starting to think the universe is working against us, and will stop at nothing to keep us apart. I pace up and down the kitchen, waiting for Tyler to return from another errand Mathew has sent him on. If I don't do something, Tyler and I will never get a moment's peace; there’s so much I have to discuss with him. I grab a bag and pack some clothes for Tyler and myself; I have decided to take Tyler to Allana’s cave. After carrying the bags to the porch, I sit on the steps, not taking my eyes off the lane that leads to our house; hopefully, I can talk to Tyler alone without interruption and make him see how unprepared we are and that attacking Cassandra and Andras would be a senseless waste of all our lives, there’s no doubt in my mind that we would lose. When I see Tyler approaching the house, I pick the bag up and walk toward him, saying,
“Quick, come with me; I want to show you something.”
He wiggles his eyebrows and chuckles,
“Where are we going?”
I grin, “It's a surprise.” and take his hand in mine as I lead him away from the village. We walk in silence as I concentrate on remembering exactly where the cave is located. It takes an hour to find it, and I say the spell Allana taught me to move the boulder. Tyler's eyes widen in shock when he enters the cave; he turns back toward me and says,
“This place is amazing, Lisha. No one has ever mentioned it being here.”
I chuckle and place the bag on the table,
“That's because no one else knows it here, Tyler, apart from Allana and myself.”
Tyler notices the pool for bathing as he looks around. His reaction reminds me of the first time Allana brought me here; I wait until he stops walking through the cave and say,
“I need to talk to you, Tyler, and I didn't want anyone overhearing us.”
Tyler grins cheekily, walks over to the bed, and sits down, patting the space beside him.
“I thought you brought me here to fool around, Lisha.”
I tilt my head to one side, looking at him, and sigh,
“This is serious, Tyler,”
He winks and pats the space beside him again as he says,
“It's ok, Lisha. I am only teasing; sit down and tell me what is bothering you.”
I take a deep breath and sit beside him, clasping my hands together tightly on my lap; Tyler reaches across, places his hands on mine, and whispers.
“There's no need to be nervous; tell me what's going on in that head of yours.”
I shake my head and whisper,
“We can't win against Cassandra and Andras, Tyler; I can't feel my magic, and even if I could, I don't know what I am doing. I am in over my head here. What happens when we get to the Seelie court, and by some miracle, we overthrow Cassandra? What do we do with her? If Cassandra is left alive, she will always have Gabriel, Shayla, Dana, and Nadia, causing discontent. Who will say the next queen won't be as bad or worse than her? Are there any Seelie with royal blood left? There is so many innocent Fae there; who are we to choose who lives and dies?”
Tyler squeezed my hand gently and said.
“Slow down, Lisha. It is early days, and we have time to plan what the best course of action will be.”
I rub my hand across my face, and my tears start to fall as I look at him,
“It won't matter how much we plan. We can't win; I keep telling you Cassandra and Andras are too powerful; why can't you listen to me?”
“Don't you want this, Lisha?”
I stand, moving away from him, and answer,
“No, I don't, Tyler; I want a home with you. I want a child. I don't want to lose you or anyone else I love. I have already spent four years in that realm, and nothing and no one will ever get me to go back there; we can't win Cassandra and Andras are too powerful.”
Tyler stands and walks over to me; he puts his hands on my waist, and my heart breaks as I look up at him and he whispers,
“We can only try Lisha; if we don't at least try to stop Cassandra, then we may as well hand the Unseelie realm over to her.”
There has to be another way to do this; why can't any of them see that? My emotions have been erratic over the last few days, going from being ecstatic because I am finally home to despair whenever Tyler, Xavier, or Skyla mention attacking the Seelie court. My thoughts are chaotic, so it takes some time before my mind registers that Tyler is speaking to me,
“Why don't you have a bath? It will help you relax. I will make us something to eat”.
The hot water soothes the tension in my shoulders and back when I sink under the water. Now is the time Tyler and I should be enjoying our lives together, planning our future and our children's future, but it's not and never will be if we continue on the path Xavier, Skyla, and Tyler want us to take. Still, if this is all I will have to spend with Tyler, I will make every minute count.
I watch Tyler make a platter of fruit, cheese, and crackers. He has managed to find a bottle of wine and glasses from somewhere. He carries the food over to me before undressing and climbing into the pool. After eating, I rise out of the bath, wrapping a sheet around me. Tyler follows me, looking down at me, smiling; I move closer to him and wrap my arms around his neck, pulling his face closer and kissing him. He takes his breath away as he kisses me back. I run my tongue along his top lip, biting him gently.
As he runs his hands down my back, sparks of electricity flow through me. I push the sheet down, watching him as it slowly slides onto the floor. His hot gaze runs down my body; he pulls me closer and carries me to the bed. Every nerve in my body shivers in anticipation as he lays beside me; I rub my body against him, loving how his skin feels against mine. The sweet scent of my arousal fills the room as he sucks my neck, biting gently down towards my breast, and he takes my nipple in his mouth. I moan softly as pleasure flows through me. He bites my stomach going lower. I gasp as he runs kisses along my slit. Heat gathers in my core. I spread my legs wide, allowing him access, as he plunges his tongue deep inside me, sucking my clit and then nipping it softly with his teeth. I feel my climax building slowly as all my senses heighten. I moan, my breathing becoming erratic as he grips my hips tightly; I arch my back, needing more; he buries his tongue deeper inside me. My body feels like floating; he slips his fingers inside me. I feel my stomach clench, and so much pleasure runs through me. I am so wet my juices are coating his hand. I pull him up, moaning; he doesn't take his eyes off mine as he licks my juice off his fingers.
I can feel the tip of his cock resting on the opening of my slit. I arch my back, moving under him. He thrusts his cock inside me. I groan as his length fills me. He kisses me, and the walls of my pussy grip his cock tightly. I meet him thrust for thrust, grinding myself against him as he repeatedly buries his cock inside me. He gently bites my neck. I feel his canines scraping across my skin, sending me over the edge as my orgasm explodes through my body. He thrusts his cock deep into me, groaning as he spills his seed inside me. My body still tingles with pleasure, and my senses slowly return to me. Tyler kisses me softly, then whispers,
“ I can't believe how lucky I am that you are my mate. You are amazing.”
I chuckle against his sweet lips,
“You're not too bad yourself, Tyler.''
He embraces me as I snuggle against him, and we fall into an exhausted sleep.
Allana POV I smiled when I entered my cave; Lisha and Tyler's scent was everywhere. I make myself a coffee before walking over to the bed, raising my eyebrow when I realize what they have been doing. I may have some fun with this; I won't get another chance. I clear my throat noisily. Lisha stirs, and opening her eyes, she squeals. Tyler jumps out of bed, ready to protect her, forgetting he is naked, “My Tyler, haven't you grown into a large man.” He blushes as he tries to cover himself with his hands. I chuckle, looking at Lisha, “Coffee is ready if either of you is interested.” Wiggling my eyebrows at Tyler, I smile, “You don't have to get dressed if you don't want to, Tyler.” Lisha groans as she sits up, “Omg, Allana, stop embarrassing Tyler, please.” I walk away laughing. Once Lisha is dressed, she hugs me. I cuddle her back, saying. “Tyler has not marked you, Lisha?” She glares at me, “I haven't seen you for four years, and that's the first thing you say to me.” I c
Lisha POV I can't stop thinking about what Allana has told me. Cassandra needed to be stopped, and I knew that, but now was not the right time. My anger rises, and my magic flows through me; the power is intoxicating. The wind around me gets stronger, leaves fly into the air, and trees start to bend. I can feel I am beginning to lose control when Tyler puts his arms around me; I can barely hear him as he says, “You need to breathe, Lisha. Listen to my voice; come back to me.” He runs soft kisses down my neck, my body responds to his touch, and I relax against him as my control returns. Skyla and Xavier walk over to us when we reach the village outskirts. I look at Skyla properly for the first time since I returned home. Skyla has changed; she still looks like the Skyla I know, only now her skin glows in the sunlight, and her hair looks like silk and falls down the middle of her back. When she walks, she looks like she glides across the ground. Skyla s beauty and grace are breatht
Lisha POV I wake up feeling hot and restless, and I need to move. I get out of bed, throwing a pair of yoga pants and a sports bra before leaving the cabin. I am scared I am going to hurt someone. I run through the forest until I can no longer hear any werewolves from the village. Everything comes rushing back to me, my mother being murdered, finding out that Andras and Cassandra killed my father, and the abuse I dealt with at the Seelie court. My legs give way from under me; I can't run anymore; I sit on the forest floor, digging my hands into the ground. Sobs wracked my body; I was so glad to be home; all I want is to spend my life here with Tyler. Why can't Tyler, Xavier, and Skyla see what they are trying to do will get us all killed, and why is Allana encouraging them? Allana has told people for years that I will have immense power when I turn eighteen. Where is it? I am starting to doubt everything she has ever told me. I can't hold it anymore. I feel like I am going crazy. I
Lisha POV The werewolf takes us to the great hall where King Damian is waiting for us. My jaw hits the floor when I see him. He is enormous, at least six foot seven inches tall. I can see the muscles on his chest, shoulders, and biceps straining against his shirt when he moves. The animal magnetism that comes from him is overpowering. His long brown hair is loose and falls in heavy waves to his chest, his beard is cropped short against his rugged jaw, and his deep-set dark brown eyes sparkle with mischief as he looks at Allana. He smiles before saying, “It has been a long time Allana.” His voice is deep and husky; everything about the man is sensual. Allana inclines her head at him, giving him a flirtatious smile as she saunters closer and kisses his cheek. “Hello, Damian; it's good to see you again.” “You are still as beautiful as ever, Allana.” She giggles at him, saying, “And your still as handsome as ever, Damian.” I have to admit my grandmother has excellent taste in men
Allana POV I grew up with Queen Belladonna, playing on the castle grounds; she was always a gorgeous woman. She had the classical beauty of the Unseelie royal bloodline, long silky straight black hair. Heart-shaped face, large ebony eyes with high cheekbones, full lips, and flawless golden skin. She was tall and slim in build. Belladonna was one of the most powerful queens the Unseelie had ever seen. Her charisma pulled people to her; when she spoke, no one could look away from her; she demanded attention and received it. The average life span for Fae is four hundred and fifty years, some Fae has lived to be six hundred years old, but they are rare. My mate Nathaniel was an old Fae when I met him. I loved him dearly. He was my soul mate, and when he died, I was crushed. I did not want to go on living. I never got to tell him he was going to be a father. Nathaniel always wanted a son. We did not think I could conceive because of Nathaniel's age. Belladonna realized I was pregnant bef
Lisha POVWe are up and ready at dawn; by the time the sun is peaking its heads above the trees, Allana has opened the portal Skyla, Xavier, Tyler, and I are the last to pass through the opening before the door closes again. Screams filled with fear and pain pierce the air; they come from the village. Only humans are left there; they will be defenseless. I scream when I see Skyla, Xavier, and Tyler running back the way we came. “No, please, we need to leave this place.” Looking over my shoulder, I see Allana collapse, and the portal closes. I run in the direction Xavier, Skyla and Tyler have ran; dread fills me when I smell the stench of death that fills the air; the humans are being slaughtered. Seelie, vampires, and wolves run through the village, killing everyone who opposes them. There are too many of them. I scream at Xavier, “Get out of here; take Skyla with you.” Tyler runs back toward me when he hears my voice; I scream when a silver arrow pierces his chest; he stumbles an
Lisha POV I am sure Jasmine is more cat than a wolf; she hasn't stopped creeping around the room all morning. Her short dark hair is cut in a pixie style, accentuating her large green eyes-long black eyelashes and olive skin. Jasmine is a little taller than me; she is beautiful. It is a shame she is such a bitch. Leaning my back against the bedhead, I have my legs straight and crossed at my ankles; I wiggle my toes and ask, “So, Jassie, what are we doing today?” She spins around, growling as she says, “I told you not to call me that, Lisha.” I wiggle my eyebrows at her and smirk, “And I told you I don't give a fuck, Jassie.” Jasmine hasn't managed to take all my Fae senses away as she thought; I can hear her heart rate pick up as her anger rises. “Do you have a death wish, Lisha?” I snort, “If you mutts wanted me dead, you would have killed me by now.” Her eyes glaze over for a couple of minutes before she looks down at me and sneers, “Get up the King wishes to speak to y
Lisha POV The four walls are starting to close in on me; it has been six months since I discovered Tyler was alive. The door creaks as it opens; taking no notice of who it is, I watch the flames flickering in the fire. Damian surprises me as he lowers his large frame into the armchair beside me. His husky voice vibrates against the silence of my room. “Did you know you twirl your hair around your fingers when you're deep in thought, Lisha?” Dropping my hand into my lap, I ignore him. He leans toward me as he whispers, “You have been quiet, Lisha. Is it because you know I speak the truth about Tyler?” I hiss, “What the fuck do you want, Damian?” Everything Damian has said is true. Tyler and I have crossed paths repeatably in the palace. There has been no recognition in his eyes where I am concerned. Damian growls, “What makes you think you can get away with speaking to me like that, Lisha?” I look at Damian briefly for the first time since he entered my room and say, “You wa
Lisha POV It's been two years since Allana’s death, Tyler has never asked how it was possible I left the Unseelie realm and returned home with him, and I have never told him. Damian’s and my son Nate was born a couple of months after we returned home; he is a beautiful little boy with the same deep-set chocolate brown eyes as his father, olive skin, and a head full of curly brown hair. Nate and Asher will grow into extremely handsome men; I can see them breaking many hearts before they find their true mates. Nate and Asher adore Tyler, and he is a fantastic father; he treats both our boys as his own. The first thing Tyler, Xavier, Skyla, Tiffany, and I did was build a meeting house in the center of the four realms. Every three months, we come together as representatives for our species and discuss any issues that may arise. Each kingdom has two representatives for the Unseelie, Zane and I; the werewolves, Tyler and Mateo; the vampires, Xavier and Skyla; and the Unseelie, Tiffany, an
Tyler POV Lisha winks at me and whispers, “No matter what happens, hold the circle.” She moved closer to Allana while reaching behind her back and placing my hand in Skyla’s. A dense fog was rolling in from every direction; a cold chill crept up my back, and the hairs on my neck and arms stood up. I knew there was someone behind me, but I didn't dare to turn my head and have a look. Lisha smirked as the fog grew thicker and denser; Allana was so confident in her abilities that she refused to consider for one moment we could beat her. Allana hissed, her eyes glancing at each of us as she snarled, “You can't beat me, you foolish girl.” Lisha's laughed softly. Only the people closest to her knew what that particular laugh meant; it always sent shivers down my spine. She looked at Allana and whispered, “I am not trying to beat you, Allana; you wanted power, and I am going to give it to you.” Allana's eyes narrowed as she stared at Lisha, her lips twisting into an ugly smile as
Lisha POV Tyler and I woke early, we had a feeling that someone had betrayed us, and we were right. Xavier, Skyla, Tyler, and I knew what was coming, but no one else did; the fewer who knew what we intended to do, the better. Tyler made short work of Anton, the warrior who told Allana we were here; he was one of Dimitri’s wolves, I knew we should have killed the lot of them when we killed Dimitri, but Tyler wanted to believe that they were loyal to us, so he did. Sometimes it's better to learn the hard way than be made aware of the truth by someone else, even if you love that person wholeheartedly. The day we have been waiting for is finally here; we leave Mathew's cabin under cover of darkness. The one hundred wolves Tyler brought with him will stay hidden inside Mathew's village until everyone else arrives. Then they will join us in the procession to where Allana, Xavier, and Skyla were supposed to be waiting for us. We could hear Allana’s people getting organized for everyone to
Xavier POV Allana’s guards line the path leading up to her castle, each one holds a staff with a purple and black flag on the top of it, and Allana is standing regally at the bottom of the castle steps, a sweet smile on her face as she watches Skyla and I walk toward her. Skyla tugs on my shirt sleeve, murmuring, “You had better wipe that disgusted look off your face before we get too close to her.” I give myself a shake and remember why we are here, “She extravagant.” Skyla chuckles, “That she is; now smile sweetly for your bitch of a grandmother and lavish her with praise.” Allana takes a step closer to us, opening her arms wide; embracing Skyla and then me as she says, “I am so glad you are here; come inside, and I will give you a tour of my home.” The beauty of the castle and grounds are breathtaking; gardens are scattered everywhere, filled with flowers of every color and description imaginable. The castle itself has been constructed out of white limestone, and heav
Tyler POV Xavier glanced back over his shoulder at me once before Skyla, his vampires, and he stepped into Allana’s realm, my wolves and I didn't have to wait long before my father stood before me, motioning for us to follow him. I whispered, “Won't Allana become suspicious if our not with Xavier?” He shakes his head, “No, she only required Zane to escort Xavier, Skyla, and his vampires into the realm.” I grinned, “How is Lisha?” He smiled, “Good, she is safely hidden inside my cabin.” After my wolves were taken to their quarters, I left them in my father's care and went to see Lisha. Lilly opened the door of my father's house and stepped to one side before leaving; I frowned, “Where are you going, Lilly?” Lilly hesitated before glancing up at me and murmuring, “I thought you and Lisha might like some time alone.” I smirked and moved out of her way; Lilly is and has always been one of the worst liars I have ever met, Lisha has been up to something, and I need to fin
Lilly POV Lisha smiled as she walked toward us; when I asked her what had happened, she frowned and said, “You saw what happened, Lilly.” I shook my head.“No, we couldn't see or hear anything.” She smirked, “That's probably for the best.” This is her answer; that's probably for the best; what the hell is that supposed to mean? I grabbed Lisha’s arm as she went to walk past me and whispered, “Are you going to me? What happened in there, Lisha?” She blew out a breath and whispered, “It's getting light, Lilly. We need to get back to Mathews.” I growled, “How the hell am I supposed to protect you if you don't tell me anything.” Lisha glanced back the way she came for a moment, then turned back to me and whispered, “When we get back to Mathew's house, I will tell you everything, but if we don't go now, someone will see us.” Lisha raised her eyebrows and inclined her head in Zane and Matthew's direction; there was no point in arguing with her any longer; her expression alone
Lisha POV Lilly is correct; the forest feels cold and unwelcoming as we follow Zane deeper into the woods. Every so often, I catch a glimpse of glowing eyes peering back at us; I didn't say anything to Zane at first because of thought I was seeing things, but the last ones I saw were a little too close for comfort as far as I am concerned. I swear under my breath and increase my pace so I can walk beside him. The paths narrow, and it infuriates me further when I keep hitting my head on the tree's low-hanging branches. How fucking long has it been since anyone walked this trail? I grab hold of Zane's arm, causing him to stop mid-step and ask, “I thought you said no one would see us?” He glances at the trees surrounding us and murmurs, “The people here won't hurt us.” I growl, “What fucking people, Zane.” He shrugs, “The banished, the Fae that didn't support Allana, she banished them all to this part of the forest.” “Why here.” He raises his eyes, looking toward a cl
Tyler POV The air is electrifying as my wolves prepare to leave our territory, so many of them are still holding grudges against the Unseelie, I will have to keep a tight reign on them, so this doesn't turn into a total blood bath. Mateo is the only member of my pack who is similar in size and appearance to Theo; he will be the one to lead a hundred of my wolves into Allana’s realm. If he doesn't get too close to her, we will be able to fool her for a short time, at least. Not having Lisha here is hard; I know we argue sometimes, but what couple doesn't? It's all part of getting to know each other again. Having a bit of space from each other has helped me realize that if Lisha has to stay in the Unseelie lands until she has the baby, I will stay there with her. I know Mateo will take care of my wolves until we can work something else out. This time when Xavier appeared at my side, he didn't startle me; I sensed him coming before he arrived. He raises his eyebrows in surprise, asking,
Lilly POVI never thought there would be a time when I would be scared of anyone, but Lisha is starting to scare me to death. Since we arrived here, it's been like her mind is elsewhere, her eyes vacant, and the dreams, it doesn't matter if it's day or night, every time she falls asleep, she wakes up screaming and fighting against some unknown force. I can see and feel her changing; my nerves are shot, and I pray to the moon goddess every chance I get pleading with her to do something, anything to stop Lisha from falling into madness. I can't leave her. I love her too much, and in the back of my mind is the thought that Tyler will arrive tomorrow morning. Please, goddess let her hold onto her sanity until he comes, they say love conquers all, so if anyone can pull Lisha out of the pits of despair, it will be Tyler. The creaking of the trapdoor alerts me to the fact that Mathew is home; he cautiously descends the stairs, his voice hushed as he asks, “How is she doing?” I blow out a
