Chapter 39: Fear

“Beelzebub‘s POV”

I sat quietly at the dining room, playing with my nails, a frown on my handsome face. My eyes didn't leave the entrance door for a moment. Yes, I was expecting her. It was already past 6, and yet she hadn't shown up.

I felt like a fool again. I could probably go to her room and blow up her head. I didn't have any patience left in me. But with her, it was different.

"Why would she show up when she literally thinks you are a monster?" my inner voice said, and I scoffed.

"Fuck," I said.

The door opened slowly, and I could see her head popping up. She looked so cute as usual, her white hair falling on her body, making her look like the goddess she already was. Her short, armless dress made her look sexy, revealing her beautiful shape. She was worth dying for.

She gave me a weak smile. It was tempting to smile back at her, but I ended up looking away. She was more than perfection, I thought.
