Chapter 41: Lucifer

“Beelzebub‘s POV”

Deep down in my heart, I wanted to consider allowing Destiny to continue her mission in hunting down my brother, Lucifer. It had been two days since I last saw her. I left her all alone in my bedroom the last time we spoke. Whenever she's around me, I get this strange feeling burning inside me, and I don't want to do anything silly around her.

I could count different reasons why Destiny going out there wouldn't be good for her. My brother would end her. She probably thinks Lucifer is damn easy to take down, but that's where she is wrong. I could never be a match for my brother, so how will she kill him? Not a chance, because she is still weak.

I don't want to risk her life to save everyone. Maybe sitting and doing nothing might be best for her. Almost immediately, I heard a soft knock on my door. "Come in," I said, coughing a little to adjust the crack in my voice.
