**POV Eleanor**

I woke up in complete darkness. I looked at my bloodied legs, trying to move my body, which remained sore. Bruises covered my entire body, making it impossible for me to walk. I blinked a few times and realized I was once again on a water-immersed surface.

"Where am I?" I asked, my voice trembling, and heard the cry of a baby echoing in the background.

A drop of water dripped onto the surface, forming waves that spread in circles. I lifted my head, and my eyes met a bright light that made my eyes ache.

"Eleanor... good to see you again."

I instantly recognized that voice, that soft yet authoritative voice. It was the voice I had heard before.

"You..." I murmured apprehensively, tears beginning to well up, filling my eyes with water as I struggled not to cry.

"I told you there would be consequences for disobeying me and trying to escape from your mate, the Alpha King!" she said firmly, walking towards me.

"Mate? The King?" I murmured with disgust. "Was that your price?
