chapter one hundred and three

### Eleanor's POV

"I can't believe you didn't listen to me and snuck out in the middle of the night!" Amber yelled again while I trembled from the cold, wrapped in a blanket.

I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the cold I had probably caught. My nose was running, and I had bouts of fever throughout the night. Chills ran through my body, and the image of that night wouldn’t leave my mind: Tyler pushing me towards the cliff without any remorse.

"She's dead! He killed her!" I responded, my eyes full of tears, not caring about what Amber was saying.

That sentence was enough to silence her for a few minutes. Amber looked at me seriously, observing my expression. For the first time, after spending over forty minutes insulting me and telling me how naive and reckless I was, she finally gave in and sat beside me on the bed, stroking my hair. I just laid my head on her lap while she caressed my face and let all the tears flow. I needed to release the cry that had been trapped inside me
