Following Chen Lien's directions, I quickly asked my warriors to prep the plane. We're flying over to The Moon Fall Pack to pick up Claire.

Therefore, I decided to head back to my Pack, personally imprison Lucy, and request the Elders to immediately integrate Sir Torrance's Pack into The Silver Fire Pack. I didn’t want to waste time and effort doing it another day.

Upon arriving at my Pack, I was greeted by Andara Spectra, the former Elder of The Moon Fall Pack.

Andara informed me that neither she nor Octa found anything on the escape route that Lucy Torrance created to facilitate Christopher Gale's plans. She even requested some guards to plant explosives on that route to destroy it, ensuring no one could use it in the future.

Honestly, I liked that decision because, aside from having Octa with her, I also noticed that Andara's skills as an Elder were still top-notch. Her intuition remained sharp, and she was still wise. It showed when she made the Rogue Wolves in that forest much mo

Claire’s P.O.VI couldn’t freaking believe what was right in front of me. It was Sister Alberta and the orphanage kids—the only family I ever knew, the people I thought were dead. But they weren’t. They were alive, trapped behind metal bars in some dark, cold room inside the ridiculously lavish mansion of Christopher Gale. That fake-ass Alpha. I had spent years believing he had slaughtered my family, only to find out the bastard had been keeping them hidden, away from me. Why? Just to break me. Just to see me drown in despair. My eyes locked onto Sister Alberta, her frail figure seated in a wheelchair, being pushed closer by Sister Annabella so our hands could touch through the bars. I couldn’t hold back my tears anymore. The kids were wailing, their cries echoing in the room, filled with fear, hopelessness, and a longing that cut deep into my soul. Her wrinkled hand reached out to me, trembling, desperate. I tried to do the same, but before I could, Christopher Gale yanked my w

Ethan's P.O.VAfter patching up some wounds and catching our breath for a bit, we took off, trailing Andara Spectra up a hill near the ridges surrounding The Moon Fall Pack. The old lady—once part of the Elders from that big Pack—claimed she’d be performing a summoning there, saying an Elder resided in that area, only showing up at the Pack when Christopher Gale called for meetings. I probably should’ve been more suspicious about this, but Andara Spectra wasn’t giving off any shady vibes. Even Chen Lien, who had a nose for deception, didn’t pick up on anything sketchy from the old woman. So, we figured we might as well follow her lead. The spot was a bit of a hike, tucked into the forest. But when we got there, we saw a small cabin, and from it, we had a clear view of Christopher Gale’s fancy-ass mansion. I’d been there once before—back when we first struck this deal. The negotiations started off smooth, but the second I found out that the person I was supposed to capture in exchan

Ethan's P.O.VMalvic Stalon—the Alpha of the Lycans from the North. This is seriously something else. How could the elders in this Pack pull off something like this? I mean, from the North to this Pack is a crazy long distance, at least two days’ journey. And during all that time, the warriors and all the loyalists guarding Christopher Gale’s mansion didn’t catch wind of his arrival? That’s just nuts. No way that’s possible.Even if the warriors were as oblivious as a brick wall, ignoring the presence of another species within the Pack is not something any of us would take lightly. And let’s be real, Werewolves and Lycans are like oil and water—silent enemies. There’s no official declaration of hatred between us, but Lycans and their “holier-than-thou” attitude make us Werewolves sick. That arrogance fuels our endless animosity—a beef with no expiration date. What’s more, everyone pretty much knows about the Northern Lycans’ beef with Christopher Gale. Claire POVIt was the third time Agatha and Jane had dumped a bucket of something gross on my head, ruining the outfit I had planned to wear for this morning's prayer service. It was now all dirty and smelled terrible."Ha! Look at you! This is a great lesson for daring to go against Agatha's orders!" Jane laughed as she plopped the empty bucket on my head. The stench was awful. I could tell it was a mix of dishwater and whatever mop they had used.As if that wasn't enough, Jane kicked me, and I ended up on the ground, my clothes now muddy and my body aching."I really don't get it. Why didn't you just choose to disappear? Who gave you the right to stick around and waste our church's money, making our parents spend more just to feed you?" Agatha kept ranting while banging the bucket on my head. The noise was unbearable and made my ears ring.I yanked the bucket off, and the horrible smell and noise got to me. I tossed it away, making Jane and Agatha even angrier.Agatha grabbed my ha

Ethan P.O.V I kicked the blood-soaked body several times in front of me. Lying on the floor, he didn't move at all except for a moan that escaped his lips. It didn't matter if he would die if I kept doing it or not, but the upset I felt was still insatiable, as if I wouldn't stop if this man hadn't died. "Get Gilbert here." My orders. Frightened, he ran out of the room to call a man named Gilbert. While waiting, I pulled a handkerchief out of my pocket to wipe away the blood on my black shoes. It was disgusting; it was the first time my shoes had been soiled like this by someone whose life wasn't worth a penny. Finished wiping and throwing a dirty handkerchief full of blood on the man's face, I walked back to my table, poured vodka into a glass, and then drank it greedily. There were not enough glasses, so I poured another and drank it to the end. The one I had asked Gilbert to bring returned with an old man only briefly after that. His bald head was only slightly above the ear

Clare POV "Claire, can you help me clean up the prayer altar after this?" Sister Alberta said, asking for something that has become my daily routine. Nodding, I replied, "Of course, Sister, I'll do it after the cooking is finished." "You can ask Andy and Vicky to accompany you." "They must be tired. I must not interrupt their rest time after school. I'll do it myself, so just let them rest," "What a good girl, thank you, and don't forget to change the plaster on your forehead, it will heal in two days." I nodded. I was very happy when Nurse Alberta worried about me. It felt like I had a mother, although I never knew who my real mother was. After finishing lunch, I helped Sister Alberta prepare dinner. Then, I immediately did my daily duty: I cleaned the prayer altar for use the next morning. No one was in the church that afternoon, not even Hendrik, who was usually there to finish his work. I went to the priest's house, a little distance away, because Hendrik and the pries

Claire’s P.O.VRight in front of me stood a massive, jaw-dropping mansion. Almost the entire exterior was made of marble, making it look ridiculously solid, like, no way could even a thousand of the strongest wolf fangs take this thing down. I’d only ever seen a packhouse twice in my life, one of them being Ethan’s. And yeah, that one was impressive, but this? This mansion blew Ethan’s out of the water. Way more majestic, sturdier… or maybe just eerily quieter. “Why are you just standing there? Go on, step inside. After all, this mansion was yours to begin with.” Christopher Gale spoke like he was offering some grand, heartfelt welcome, like I was supposed to be grateful or something. Wait, what did he just say? Mine to begin with? Had I actually lived in a place like this before I became an orphan and was raised by the nuns at the convent? Why did his words sound so sweet and yet cut so deep at the same time? Is this just how he is? Showering his soon-to-be victims with compliment

Ethan’s P.O.VBlood pooled on the ground, mixing with the ash and dust of the ruins. The night air reeked of burning flesh, agonized screams, and the final gasps of those foolish enough to resist. A pack that once stood proud under Alpha Torrance’s rule. Now reduced to rubble and corpses. If only the civilians had just stayed put and watched, maybe they wouldn’t have died such meaningless deaths. Wasn’t that exactly what I ordered after letting my warriors unleash absolute carnage on this pack? Pathetic. A damn shame to witness, but even more frustrating to remember. Because no matter how much I hate to admit it, this pack had once meant something to me—to all of us. But their heir—Lucy Torrance, decided to play traitor. And that? That, I could never let slide. I stood amidst the chaos, my breath ragged, heart still pounding with adrenaline coursing through my veins. My hands were coated in blood some of it belonged to my enemies, some to those stupid enough to stand in my way to

Claire's P.O.V This was one hell of a long journey—way longer than I ever could’ve imagined. When Ethan took me from my old Pack to the Silver Fire Pack, he had us fly in a private jet, cutting the travel time short. But this bastard? He was dragging me through an endless nightmare. I had no clue where the hell this so-called Moon Fall Pack was, but he kept driving, twisting and turning like he was deliberately trying to confuse me. For the rest of the trip, I didn’t say a damn word to Christopher Gale. He did the same—silent, no small talk, nothing. Honestly, that was probably for the best. If we had talked, all I would’ve gotten from him was a bunch of sarcastic bullshit. The car had been speeding down this pitch-black, deserted road for about two hours now. There wasn’t a single streetlight, not even the faintest glow outside the window. Just pure, suffocating darkness. It was like we had left civilization behind and were driving straight into some forsaken void. But then,
