I caught a whiff of a familiar scent mixed with sweat,he had been training already.

There was footsteps approaching my door,I closed my eyes tight waiting for the footsteps to pass.

The footsteps did not pass and instead stopped in front of my door.

I sighed and groaned into my pillow.

The knock sounded a second later , I looked down to make sure I was decent , you never knew when you would forget that you had no clothes on .

" Enter ! ", I yelled out .

My twin brother walked in , he was an exact replica of me .

From my midnight coloured hair to my red toes.

I smirked , I had painted his toes yesterday while he slept .

He stood at the entrance of my room now giving me an evil stare .

" Really Reno ? ", He called out , his green eyes narrowing .

I chuckled .

" It seemed funny at the moment ", I told him as I sat up in bed .

He suddenly got a very evil look in his eyes .

His face morphed into an extremely evil sneer and he began to walk slowly towards my bed.

I held my sheets tighter around me .

Oh , goddesses .

" Come on Rio , let bygones be bygones ", I pleaded .

I was moving deeper into the bed as I begged.

I frantically thought of what I could use to appease him as he climbed into my bed.

Nothing of any usefulness came to mind.

I thought about taking over his dishwashing chores but I hated dishwashing just as much as he did , I would honestly rather die than take over his dishwashing duties .

He reached where I was laying and threw a punch , I blocked it with my pillow .

He threw another one that I rushed forward to stop with my elbow .

I pushed him off my bed with my elbow but he pulled me at the last moment and we both landed on the floor. 

Since I had landed above him, I threw a punch into his guts and he exhaled loudly.

I punched him again in the side of his stomach , It was a solemn sibling rule to avoid faces when we fought , couldn't afford to cause harm to our family treasures .

I jumped up and he did the same immediately , we both got into defensive positions holding our fists up.

"I will take over your North end border patrolling duties for three days ", I yelled out .

He thought about it for a second , his eyes flitting about.

Everyone hated the north end border , it led to the Gray Moon Pack's territory .

The Gray Moon Pack was basically a pack with rabid , libido driven wolves .

The worst part was this smell they had about them , it could make a sane wolf go crazy by just smelling it long enough .

Rio and I were Alpha wolves with better noses than your average Alpha wolves so patrolling the North end was akin to torture for us .

I was offering him such a deal because I had not had any food for a while and working this hard , so early was really not becoming of me and my brother knew this .

" One week , you'll take over my patrolling duties for one week ", he said .

" What ? One week ? Are you trying to kill me ? ", I screamed .

He rolled his eyes .

" I just came back from an early morning scout update where I did not even realize that my fingers were red while I screamed out orders ", he whined .

I smirked as I imagined the looks on the scouts faces .

" I even made a lot of hand gestures " , he added painfully .

I rolled my eyes and almost missed it .

He got down and threw his feet into my knees , I almost fell but I kicked him and did a backflip , landing farther away from him .

He forgot his fighting stance and began to chase me around trying to punch me , I ran around trying to avoid his punches while I threw a few of my own .

I might have been a faster fighter but I could never beat Rio in terms of strength .

He was like a fucking powerhouse , our parents had made sure of that .

We had fallen on the bed and began to hit each other with pillows when my door swung open .

Our mother stood there holding a ladle , shit .

I scooted to the far end of the room .

" RENO DE LA FUENTES ", She screamed .

" He started it ", I yelled back pointing at my brother whose face was suddenly looking so pitiful , that asshole .

" Go to the gym and do a thousand push ups ", She told me as she pushed her blonde hair out of her face .

Our mother looked like a living Barbie doll with her long blonde hair , blue eyes and slim Figure .

None of us looked like her since we were brunettes with green eyes .

Mother's appearance always deceived people though , I had watched her tear a bear open and pull out it's heart in less than two seconds .

I was a child then and I had run out of our territory while playing and almost became bear dinner .

" Can I at least have breakfast before going ? " , I asked .

She looked at me like I was crazy .

" It would not be a punishment then , would it ? ", She asked .

I groaned loudly , I was supposed to be mumbling my discomfort but I was too scared to do that , I would stick to grumbling within for now .

I stood up and walked into my closet , grabbed a sweatshirt and came out .

" Why aren't you standing Mister ? Your butt cheeks stuck to the bed or what ? ", Mama suddenly yelled again .

" What Mama ? ", Rio called out .

" The punishment is for you and your sister ", Mama informed him .

I laughed at this , my day had suddenly brightened .

I returned to my closet to get one of his numerous sweatshirts that somehow always ended up in my closet .

I threw it at him and jogged out of my room .

" Reno ? "

I turned to face Mama .

" Blueberries or strawberry for your pancake ? 

", She asked slyly .

I choked as I thought of berries .

" Blueberries ", I replied softly .

Mama nodded with a big smile on her face and turned around swinging the ladle like it was a bat as she left .

Rio was out and dressed , he jogged up to me and we began to jog out of the pack house silently .

Every one was still asleep because of the bonfire we had last night .

It was hard to get werewolves drunk but my pack always succeeded in getting themselves drunk .

As we ran through the huge pack house , our faces continued to flit between different levels of disgust .

Having overly sensitive noses meant we could smell all of the musty after sex smells and the stale vomit smells. 

" How are you holding up ? ", My brother asked .

" Terribly ", I told him .

We were finally out of the house and took deep breaths .

I looked around , there was really no one anywhere .

Everyone was still somewhere in bed .

I drew my sweatshirt closer to my body as we headed for the gym complex outside the pack house .

The one in the pack house had been occupied by my father the Alpha recently .

He had a lot going on , a lot that I was aware of .

" You don't have to go ", Rio said .

I knew what he was talking about .

Our Pack lay in the east , we had the Crimson Pack up on our South and the Gray Moon on our North leaving our West open .

That was our most guarded spot against rogues and the likes .

All of the pack were still suffering from the clash that had occured more than two decades ago .

We had lost more since our Pack had been the most exposed .

When the war had ended , we had signed a peace treaty with all of the packs surrounding us to avoid a repeat of what had happened .

So twice every year , the Alpha's all met up to discuss things like territory and all.

For the past few meetings , the Alpha of Gray Moon had been implying to my father that we could all benefit from them with a marriage alliance .

My father had not mentioned it to me but I had known.

I knew Father hated it , I did too .

But each time I weighed the Pros and cons of it , the Pros won .

A marriage alliance meant I was going to be Alpha of Gray Moon , it also meant that Gray Moon could never attack my pack , the Fortnight .

" At the next biannual meeting , I will show interest in Herrera Junior ", I announced .

Rio stopped jogging , I did too .

" You hate him ", My brother reminded me .

I did hate Alex Herrera , he had been making sexual passes at me since before I even knew what sex was .

" Yes , I do but the alliance would greatly favour us and Dad would never take up Herrera senior on his offer if he thinks that I will be uncomfortable there ", I explained .

He looked at me like I was dumb .

" But you will be uncomfortable there ", he enunciated slowly .

I chuckled .

" No , I will ask for a condition . Alex must become Alpha before the marriage and we won't live in the pack house ", I told him .

 He did not reply .

" It's only an hour by extremely fast and reckless driving ", I added .

He groaned .

" Why have you got to get married ? ", he whined .

 I laughed because I had been wondering that recently .

But , I wanted to protect my pack too in whatever way I could .

If that meant marrying that ass , Alex Herrera , then I would just have to make him my bitch .

" Race you to the gym ", I yelled as I began to run .

" Fucking Cheat ", He screamed out .

" Respect soon to be married folks ", I screamed back at him .

I heard him scoff as I laughed with the wind .
