KANE

Kane blocked the hit before it reached him , dodged left and threw his gamma unto his back .

The rest of the crowd whooped loudly while his Gamma who was also one of his two best friends rolled his eyes and began to boo like a sulking child .

Kane laughed out and waved at the crowd that had gathered around the ring they had built in the center of the Packs grounds .

" Get up ", Kane called out .

Josh jumped on his feet with a very attractive flip and bowed to the crowd before turning to Kane .

They headed out of the ring and made their way back to the Pack house .

The fighting ring at the center of the Pack grounds was new , one of Kane's ideas to focus the youths energy into something else because the amount of times that they went to town to bail their boys was grating on his nerves .

And since it had been a long standing tradition for the Pack's children to go to school with humans to develop their people skills , Kane had to find another outlet for their pent up emotions that was not the face of human boys .

Josh groaned all the way , he was overly dramatic like that .

" Where the fuck is Kaz ? " , Josh groaned out .

Kaz was Beta of their pack .

They were all pretty new at this as Kane had only been made Alpha a week ago , he had selected his Beta and Gamma two days later .

Everyone had gasped and pretended to be surprised when he had chosen Kaz and Josh even though they had all known for years now that Kaz would be Beta and Josh would be Gamma . 

But , Kane had greatly enjoyed the false feeling of Suspense before he had announced his beta and gamma .

" Dude ? ", Josh called out .

Kane turned slowly and gave him a look , Josh smiled a very forced smile , they were having a hard time adjusting to titles but Kane did not want to leave anything to chance .

" Alpha Dude ? ", He asked slowly .

Kane waited patiently .

" Alpha Kane ? ", He asked again .

Kane smiled widely , he clapped his hands twice .

" There you have it Josh , Wasn't too hard now , was it ? " , Kane encouraged .

Josh let out a sigh .

" I didn't think it was possible for you to get scarier Kane ", Josh told him .

Kane laughed .

" But , honestly . Where the hell is that fucker Kaz ? " , Kane asked too .

Kaz was the one of them that was taking his new job way too seriously , he was constantly gone .

' Gathering intel ' was all he ever did these days .

Kane was really curious as to what Alpha had given him the mission to gather this Intel .

He was pretty sure that he wasn't the one .

Josh groaned yet again .

" You did not have to throw me so hard ", Josh whined as he stretched his hands .

" I did not even throw you that hard ", Kane refuted .

" Yeah , not that hard just hard enough to dislocate my shoulders ", Josh cried out .

" Stop being a baby , you're a fucking Gamma now ", Kane tried to shut him up .

But there was no shutting Josh up .

He suddenly screamed as he checked the notifications on his phone .

" I got three text messages this morning , all of them challenging me with lines very similar to pick up lines ", Josh told him .

" I mean listen to this one ", he said and cleared his throat .

" ROSES ARE RED

VIOLETS ARE BLUE

I WOULD LIKE NOTHING MORE THAN TO BEAT YOU TILL YOU ARE BLUE ".

Kane cringed and they both laughed at this .

" Can't we enroll our pack members in literature classes, Alpha Kane ? ", Josh was almost pleading .

When Kane had announced his Gamma and Beta , people had immediately began to challenge Josh for his position as Gamma .

No one had challenged Kaz , his six feets of height , his very low crew cut , tattoos and black eyes seemed to scare them .

While Josh's blond hair and baby blue eyes accompanied with his pale skin and five feet something of height pulled them in .

But , Josh was a man that Kane fully respected .

And Kane did not respect a lot of men .

He did not kill his challengers but did enough to make them rethink stepping out of their houses for a while which was important since he would be leading the Pack's warriors .

Their Pack was known for their ruthless warriors and ruthless did not go very well with discipline .

Whoever led the warriors had to rein in this discipline on his own .

Kaz thought it was extremely fun and talked guys that he met on any of his late night drinking sprees into challenging Josh for his position as Gamma .

As a result , Josh had people following him everywhere , heck even his I*******m was blowing with new followers every day .

Josh would explode and bite off Kaz' head when he found out .

They reached the pack house and were about to go in when Kaz jumped out , he was shirtless and sweating .

The sweating was definitely not from push ups .

" I thought you were both never going to return , I was just about to go in search of you both ", Kaz called out .

They both turned to look at each other before turning to Kaz .

" No , You came out to get coffee for your one night stand and you probably only came to the door when you picked up our scents " , Josh gently corrected him .

Kaz looked down at his shirtless state and rolled his eyes .

" Right as always Joshie ", he announced with a mock glare .

Josh bristled ," Don't call me that ".

" Good morning Alpha , Beta and Gamma ", A man with a lawnmower greeted before going on with his work .

They all watched him leave .

Why was a lawnmower here so early ?

" Oh , it is the end of the year again . Time for the biannual meetings ", Kaz observed .

Josh nodded while Kane froze .

The meetings had always been a little tolerable since it was his father handling them but he would be the one handling them this year .

And he would have to watch that devilish pirate and her brother act like brats all week long .

At least , now that he was Alpha he could even the odds out a little .

He would start by placing her in a room that was very far from her brother's room since they thought they were so inseperable .

" Uh oh , someone is a little red ", Josh whispered .

" Ahhh , the De la Fuentes twins will be here ? Kane's Arch nemesis ? ", Kaz asked excitedly .

Kane scoffed .

They had been having this meeting since before he was born and every time that pirate had come along with her father , he had been blamed for whatever happened .

Even if she killed someone , they would find a way to pin it on him .

Everyone was obsessed and fooled by her and thought she was an angel .

Kane might have been mature but his thoughts towards those particular twins , especially the one that looked so much like a pirate would always be immature .

" I am sure Kane is over whatever ill feeling he had concerning them ", Josh said .

" I had a pet parrot once ", he suddenly started talking .

" I had begged dad for years before he got her for me . When she came over and saw it , she decided that she liked parrots and she somehow left with my parrot ", Kane shared a very hurtful story .

" Did she cry for it ? A lot of people can't stand small girls crying , you know with their pigtails and all ", Kaz pitched in .

Kane scoffed again .

" I have never seen her cry for anything. She was haughty and took whatever she wanted from me , I was the one that always cried when she came over to visit ", Kane told them .

He realized a second too late that they did not need to know that .

" Too much information there , Alpha dude ", Josh said .

" Well , I don't think you have to worry anymore about her ", Kaz announced .

" Why ? ", Kane asked .

" She is engaged I hear , to be married to the Alpha of Gray Moon ", He added .

Kane blinked , everything was suddenly in slow motion .

Why would she want to marry the Alpha of Gray moon ?

She had hated him more than she hated Kane .

For some reason , Kane could not wrap his head around the fact that she was going to marry Alex Herrera .

Alex Herrera had liked her since they were children and used to follow her around making crude sexual jokes that he had heard from his father who was nothing than a sexual deviant .

She would beat him up everytime while her brother held him down and Kane watched , when he was better he would resume following her .

Kane had never understood why , she looked like a really scary pirate and even talked like one .

How then were they suddenly engaged ?

Maybe she had matured and accepted his love ?

Just the thought of that made him want to barf .

And there was the queasy feeling in his stomach that he could not place .

It was probably joy , he told himself .

Joy that one stone was taking out two of his most hated people on the face of the Earth .
