“Well, I mean it is just that. A theory. I have been thinking and after the rogue attack, I feel like I know what is fully going on. The bigger picture if you will. Let me get through the whole thing before you ask questions though.” She looked pointedly at them before continuing. “Jaxson hasn’t received a job from the council since we mated. The only job he did receive after we met, I went along and we mated and my house burnt down. Huge press. Since then, his priorities have changed and I believe that the council doesn’t see him as reliable or trustworthy not to do the jobs without question. Before, all they had to say was the person did this but never really provided proof. He was their puppet to eliminate people as needed. Since he isn’t a cowboy anymore, they needed someone new. The past few months that we have been together and not one job was offered to him but we know jobs have been offered to another person. We have talked about another assassin being out there. N
