Chapter 3

Mimi slowly caressed a sleeping Nora's thick curly hair as the SUV entered the most beautiful and luxurious house she has ever seen. 

She was amazed at how beautiful the house is with it well manicured grass and hedges, customer made marble water fountains surrounding the mansion and she knew even her entire life saving won't be able to afford even one of the numerous fountains. 

The car pulled up in front of the entrance of the majestic mansion and the door was opened for her. 

She got down and saw a middle aged woman run up to looking so happy. 

"Aww....... She is so adorable...... She looks just like Maya but inherited David's thick and jet black eyebrows and hair color. " The middle aged want gushed and that was when it hit Mimi. 

They are here because of the man who broke her sister's heart and the father of her niece. 

The man who's name she finally knows and was boiling with rage and wanted so bad to lash out at the woman and if possible him but seeing her niece asleep on her shoulder after crying so much made her stop and it didn't go unnoticed by the middle aged woman. 

"Sorry for my bad manners...... Am Gloria Cavil, Mr Gandy's nanny and we were expecting Maya and baby Nora. " She said and looked around and back to Mimi who was lost in thought. 

"Wait....... Mr Gandy..... As in David Gandy the billionaire. " Mimi thought but her reverie was broken by Gloria. 

"My dear where is Maya dear? " She asked and Mimi frown. 

"She is not here because your boss kidnapped us and I know she is by now worried about us..... So please tell them to take us back to the apartment now. " Mimi said gritting the words through her teeth. 

Gloria looked shocked and Mimi realised she didn't know. 

"You are mistaken my dear........ David will never stoop that low....... There must be a misunderstanding. " She defended but Mimi scoffed and rolled her eyes as she turned to the bodyguards. " Blake explain yourself." She demanded clearly angry. 

"We were going to the apartment when we saw them leaving and boss asked us to follow and bring them here while he speak to Maya ma'am. " Blake explained and Gloria sighed and shook her head and then turned to Mimi.

"Am sorry dear, please come in because am sure David and Maya are on their way here. " 

Mimi nodded and entered the mansion with Gloria.

David stood in shock at Maya's revelation and Maya slammed on the floor in tears as the past flashback like a film. 

David kneeled and tried to touch her but she shoved him and stood up. 

"Don't you ever touch me with your filthy hands........ They disgust me. " She yelled at him as he stood up. "I loved you but you played with my emotions but then again I don't blame you but myself...... I knew about your playboy image but I thought I was the one for you and you for me but I was all a joke and fun for you because it was all about winning a stupid bet and I thank Noel for revealing your true face. " Maya yelled, hyperventilating. 

David's eyes widened in shock hearing his cousin's name. 

He looked up and saw Maya swaying and her eyes fluttering and rushed up to her before she hit the floor. 

He looked at an unconscious Maya in his arms and his eyes shimmered with unshed tears. 

He finally understood that he was played by his friend and cousin and he vowed to make him pay for making him lose all the years with his love and daughter. 

He carried Maya bridal style and walked out of the apartment into his car as they drove to his mansion, where they all belonged, under one roof.

My name is David Michael Gandy, son of Oscar Gandy and late Doris Gandy. 

My mother died when I was just two years old of ovarian cancer. 

Three years later my father married the most kindest woman in existence and a year later my brother Collin was born. 

I know all of you might hate me now but I am not the villain and neither am I a hero. 

It all started one day when I and my best friend and brother including my cousin Noel the traitor went to a restaurant to celebrate me owning a shipping company I have been trying to take over and that was when I meet my Goddess, Maya. 

A middle aged woman was yelling at a waitress who was crying because of the rude and racist rant of the woman and my Maya stepped in to defend the waitress earning a round of applause from everyone for the gracefully way she defended the waitress. 

"God she made my pants tight. " I heard my cousin Noel say and my best friend and brother nodded in agreement and to tell you the truth it also turned me on. "I bet three million pounds for who ever gets her. " 

"No one will....... Black women are not easy....... It take a lot for them to allow a man into their lives and this one is even more rare....... Count me out. " Oliver my best friend said with his hands up in surrender. 

"Me too. " Collin, my stepbrother said leaving I and Noel. 

"And you? " Noel asked but I shook my head. "You are attracted to her and you are giving up...... The playboy is giving up on a goddess like her. " 

I took a sip of my wine and nodded. 

"She is not a plaything and the women I sleep with are not her....... I know a dignified woman when I see one, she is one of a kind, not only is she flawlessly gorgeous,she is very kind, caring and compassionate and she is not like those cheap ones who throw themselves at me because if she was like anyone of them then I wouldn't have hesitated to bet but she is not ...... So no am not interested. " I said and looked up to find Oliver and Collin looking at me with widened eyes and dropped jaws. "What? " 

"You have never complimented anyone left alone a woman before." Oliver exclaimed in shock and I chuckled. 

"My big brother is in love. " Collin giggled and I glared at him. 

"Am not so stop it. " I yelled at him attracting attention on us including my goddess who was walking out and our eyes met for the first time making me feel so warm inside and that began our love story.
