CHAPTER 63

"Let's go," he said when he stopped in front of me.

"Okay," I murmured.

I stood up and walked beside him. I don't understand why I suddenly felt numb and empty.

"What's the matter?" I heard him ask.

There was a deep frown on his forehead when I looked at him. I just noticed that we were already in front of his car. He had opened the door to my side and was probably waiting for me to get in.

"Nothing," I tried to smile and shook my head before quietly sliding into the passenger's seat. I watched him walk to his side but looked away when he sat beside me.

I stared out the window when he started driving. I wasn't familiar with the place. I didn't know where we were heading. I don't think I cared anymore. It would be better if we just go back to his penthouse. All I wanted was to jump into my bed and wrap myself under the thick blanket.

I didn't dare utter another word. My mood was entirely ruined. The silence felt so awkward. I sighed and decided to play some music again when I couldn't
